Hi All,
Next Wednesday, I'm going to be doing a volunteer event giving Reiki to HIV/AIDS patients in a day program for them. I've been toying around with the idea, that if I get enough interest, doing a Reiki I workshop for them. Is this too ambitious a project? I believe the ability to do self-healing would be very beneficial to their health.
Perhaps I should wait and see how Wednesday goes first. I think I may have answered my own question, but comments would be welcome.

Hi Roxy
What a loverly and caring idea. I would say go for it.
If it can help them (Well we know that it can)and they want it, do it.
No it's not to ambitous.
Might just not be wise to stress the "self healing" bit though, in case they raise false hopes in themselves, But who knows , Anything could happen.
Best of luck with wednesday, and please let us know how it goes. Perhaps you could be starting something big.
Namaste

Hi Roxy,
You go girl! There has been these attunement workshops in the past with much success with it benefiting those dealing with this dis-ease. I would present this offer at the Wednesday event stressing self-treatments, stress reduction, pain reduction, co-treating each other, etc..
Too ambitious, no way. It is in the giving that we receive and these new attunie's will learn and feel this too as shall you.
I shall not offer you success as you have already succeeded in this endeavor. You have answered your own question.

Dear Roxy,
Your idea embodies the principles of Reiki.
Too ambitious? Only you can answer that, but my feeling is that your heart is definitely in the right place.
Good intent is the first step, the rest will follow.
Blessings to you.
peace & joy,
holobon

Dear Roxy,
Bless you! It's wonderful that you would offer something like this.
As a reiki practitioner and a person with HIV, if I can be of help with questions feel free to ask.
Be well,
Randy

Hi Randy,
Thanks for your kind offer of help. If I think of anything, I will be sure to ask.
And thanks for the support. I found a website about Reiki and clients with HIV, I'm planning to print that out and bring it with me Wednesday.
Wish me luck! (or wish me Reiki, I suppose is more like it).
Blessings,
Roxy
