When I give Reiki I always play Gregorian Chants/songs. I would welcome suggestions for some new music. I find that music with alot lyrics is very distracting. I find American Indian drumming very balancing for me as well as the high pitches of Celtic music.

Hi
I normally use either shamanic dream or shamanic dream 2 by anuagama. Both pieces have the ability to send me to another place mentally, especially during Reiki or meditation. I will place the link to his website on the resources board. There are samples from the cd's there

Hello dear Dakota
Twas a very good idea to start this thread for I was wanting recommendations myself.
I currently use:
Kamal Reiki music - created especailly for Reiki and healing on a emotional level. Excellent use of dolphin sounds.
Tai Chi Too - takes the listener on a magical journey.
Kitaro - The Silk Road
Bushland Dreaming - Tony O'Conner
I hope these music suggestions help
Love and light

Dakota,
I find that any type of music that has a repetitous beat to it is very unnerving to the client and myself. I find that music without lyrics works best. There are alot on "new age" music out there intended for massage and Reiki. I personally like "Riley Lee" he does japanese sakahouchi (spelling) flute music. Very asian in feeling. I also love anything by Jon Mark "The Standing Stones of Callanish " "Land of Merlin" VERY VERY soothing. Those are a couple of my favorites.
Namaste
Mark

I always uses the reiki music cd's from AJAD, there is 5 different cd's.
I don't know if it is all of them, but some off them have a little "pling" or another sound for every 3 minutes, like a guide to move your hands.

i find that the cds of ocean waves and/or morning rainstorm (just the nature sounds here, no annoying new-agey music) are wonderful for reiki sessions. they are incredibly relaxing and create a watery environment for reiki.
