I just had a totally cool experience that I really wanted to share :))

Have been seeing colors on and off in auras for a couple of months now. Today I have had a whole day to myself and spent an hour and a half sending distant healing. Well at the end, I started to gaze down at my hands in quite a meditative state, which were resting on a white background and after a few seconds saw the most beautiful turquoise/blue/purple aura around my hands. The colour was just awesome :)))

Thought I'd share my excitement here and also see if anyone else wants to try it and see what happens :))

Next time you do a full hands-on treatment with someone else as you do the treatment start to "look" at the recipient's feet or hands for energy color signatures also - or for expansion-contraction of the aura - especially as you do the head positions -

- then as you do leg or feet positions put your gaze to the recipient's face

That's amazing :-}}} I'm so excited for you.

I have seen blue round my hands while giving reiki and sometimes soft colours float on people during a session. If I look at them or try to see them they just disappear. It only ever seems to happen when I'm not expecting it :-}}{

It was plain blue though, not what you described. The colours I've seen are clear (!) How can they be clear and coloured - a bit like sweet wrappers or stained glass windows but also very startlingly bright, almost electric.

You say you've been seeing auras for a couple of months. I want to do that - I crave it in fact !!!!! Probably why I'm not actually :-}}} Is it when you're doing reiki or walking in a busy street, shops etc, or when you feel still, like on a bus or train journey?

Can you imagine what a shopping centre or cinema would be like if we could see all the auras, or an auction, or a fight or football match.

Have you ever tried to look at your own aura in a mirror - I had strange experiences when I did that - I didn't see any aura but all different faces with my eyes - very spooky but strangly compelling.

Thank you, I will try this... I have only ever seen the etheric aura in a hands on Reiki session before, never colour....but I'm hoping that will start to change :)

I still have to keep reminding myself that patience is a virtue :))

It has been really hit and miss over the last couple of months...sometimes I see it, sometimes I don't :)) and mostly when I'm least trying and just gone off into some kind of trance :))) I can always see the etheric aura now, but it is the colours that seem to be harder.

Today the colour was so vivid and vibrant...probably would have been see through, but my hands were resting on a white background, so I guess that made them easier to see.

Have been practising with a mirror too, saw some transparent yellow/green around my head last week and then it was gone :)) Also on one occasion I had this kind of murky colour crept down over my shoulders, throat and chest....about a week later I got the flu and felt really rough....so I wondered if this showed up in my aura as they say that you can see health problems in the aura.

Anyway now I'm rambling....glad I'm not the only one with evening wildness :))

this caught my atteniton as it seems that the colours are showing up for a lot of people, and mentioned in passing...

Also, this:

I have experienced this too. Do you see "floaty faces", as I call them, at night I do before going to sleep??

When you say floaty faces do you mean in the room or in your 'head'/'eyes'?

When I'm doing anything where my eyes are shut, especially in meditation or during reiki I see a lot of faces which, like the auras, disappear as soon as I try to look at them. They're usually quite small, sometimes like old black and white photos a bit, but yes they do float in and out again.

Are they us? Are they others? I used to worry about them but not any more, I just wish I could make sense of them !!

WOW!! That is great. I noticed the same thing. Last month I went to my friends house to give reiki to her baby and then after I gave reiki to his crib and filled it with healing and protection. While I was doing this my hands felt hot and like tons of energy was arounds them, then I looked down at my hands when they were in the crib and saw that there was a turquoise glowing color all around them. The light and color were very big like 6-10 inches around my hands. This was a very cool experience. I have also noticed that ocasionally when talking to someone I can see there aura.

It is difficult to describe them, isn't it? :) Yes, usually small, and sometimes the b/w photo effect going on, but not quite that ... Uhm, usually its when I have my eyes closed too. At night I see them in my head. Have opened my eyes, due to the amount that can appear & distracting me, and they are still floating about... I put a "block" on if i'm thinking of something else and they are "in the way" - although they don't worry me at all, as i'm so used to them. I have no idea who, or what "their" significance is either. lol Nice to know you see them too.

My father in law sees these floaty faces all the time before he goes to sleep. He and myself go to a spiritual development group once a week, where we meditate and link in with our guides. My teacher, a lovely medium who runs this workshop, told my father in law, that he is beginning to really open up to spirit and these faces are the faces of spirit.....she said it often happens as you become more 'open' to spirit.

This is wonderful, thanks for sharing....the strange thing is, I would have expected the aura around our hands to be green, as this is the colour that I have always linked to healing....but it was such an incredibly beautiful colour :)

One view is that the colour suggests the primary chakra centre that "powered" the energy work -

- so if Heart Centre, then green might be very likely

- if Solar Plexus then yellow might be the hue

- etc.

I am so happy that you expressed this! Until I started to read your posts, I thought it was strange (yet exciting) that I could only see aura's on an intermitant basis. I haven't seen my own yet, but I have seen a few people.

Sometimes just walking down the mall, someone will walk by and "light-up" so to speak. Very interesting.

At my Grandfathers funeral a few weeks ago, I saw my Aunts aura as she was saying a speech. That was the first time I was able to keep a contact with it without it dissipating. But it was more of a translucent pink color. Very interesting.

Eleanor, I know what you mean by wanting to see them more often and trying to have patients. I'm in the same boat! :) I wish I could see them all the time!

I just thought I would share that with you and thank you for sharing with me! :)

Just wanted to add a bit to this thread ...
It is, as you have said, just SO exciting, I think, to start to `see` so much ...
I see light round my fingers while treating people, and gradually, if I am relaxed, I am seeing more around other people, particularly if they are against a light background.
The last few weeks, I have seen light around the people I am treating, like they have a soft electric light just under their bodies, and it is shining out all around them.
I cover my clients in a light woven blanket when treating, and it sort of glows around their form.
When I had my Reiki attunements, during one of them some years ago, as I opened my eyes afterwards, I could see the bone structure of my hands, and just light around the bones, like no flesh or skin - ....
I am looking forward to maybe seeing colours too ...

You've jogged my memory.

When I first met the lady who became my reiki II master it was in the garden of a healing centre we were visiting. Her partner had just done some spur of the moment healing on me and I had cried for a while so we were having a cup of tea in the garden. We got talking about being born to the right people to learn certain lessons. A discussion ensued and she ended saying it might be about time I uncorded from my parents and helped me with that. This was the first time I'd heard of uncording and I was amazed at what happened. To stay pertinent, when I opened my eyes everything in the garden had a blue mist round it, including us. It lasted long enough for me to look around at things. It was amazing. I had no idea that anything like that could actually happen, could actually be real.

I used to see the faces all of the time, meditation especially. I think that they have to do with our karma, and people we have had in other lifetimes. Mine always seemed to be in color, as if they were slides projected on a board.

One night they all showed up together to say 'goodbye' and I haven't seen much of them sense that time.

I think by that time I had released a lot of old karma, and was moving on. It was rather nice, and comforting to have them do that.. :o}

The faces I am seeing are something recent. Over the previous six months or so. I have tried 'asking' who they are or why they have come, but as you said earlier, they re so fleeting and come one after the other so quickly it is hard to grasp anything at all.
Thinking about it (now), they are mostly 'above' me when I see them ~away to the right somewhere~ and give me the impression they are observing. Can't go further than that:)
It is almost a relief to know others are experiencing something similar and will wait to see what the outcome, if any, is.

I am so happy for you. that sounds totally awsome!! I have only seen color once with my eyes open, that was when I wa working on my son. He was sick, and I saw a blue aura around his hands. These things seem to happen when we least expect. So excited for you!

this has been going on for 30+ years (dirt calls me ma'am),
not consistently, but when i'm "open". Their sizes vary, but one is always most predominant - and they tend to swap places so each "gets a turn"....? Btw, usually about 2' above, and to my right also. I sense a myriad that I dont see, or it would be too confusing....

I tend to think of us as "ports" on a computer. When the port is open, info comes in.

Where else would any of us share these things as non-chalantly? :)
