The Reiki Cafe 

I have a cat who just showed up at my house and moved in. Not an unusual occurance except in the way he did it. Cats usually take their time and are somewhat timid in a new setting but this kitten walked in and acted as if he had spent his whole life here. His personality was amazing and he even made friends with the resident cats as though he had been here for ever. That is just the beginning. He injured his shoulder in such a way that he cannot use one leg. It just hangs there. It seems to have bothered me more than him. He has shown me that a physical impairment isn't going to slow him down in the least. He climbs trees and everything. All of that is amazing enough to me but he is there when I am upset as though to give me comfort and cheer me on. I have felt from the beginning he was sent to me by my husband who has crossed over but last night I was watching John Edward and he was talking about animals being sent to loved ones left on this side. Have other people had this type of experience.

A number of pets have come into my life at various times which I dont believe were accidental. Certain ones have had different purposes. Some have assisted me during some very challenging times. Some have been healers.All have brought peace, joy, understanding and unconditional love on days which were difficult. I do not know who, if anyone sent them, but I am happy for knowing them.No matter what I felt like, what I looked like,or what was going on, they were always (are always there--always with bright eyes or a gentle purr, or a briskly wagging tail and a walk that can be hard to keep up with. They can bring a smile during toughest of times. They have also been my teachers. I miss the one's that have passed on, but found a Poem at (click on "A Place For Us) to help. May also want to check out and they can shed Light on some of your concerns.. Stories they share also.

My mom had just had a painting on tile done of a black kitten with a white spot on the chest (taken from a greeting card photo). When it was done, and this was a time she was pretty down, an exact replica of this cat showed up in her carport and came regularly for years. It died just before she sold the house and moved on after my Dad's death. Its presence made her feel connected to the spirit world. She now has a new black cat that came as a packaage with his sister. When she is depressed, he kneads her back, but only when she is very sad. I also had a wierd experience with one of my cats. I was traumatized by an event, and this cat, who never did this before, and never did it again, wrapped herself around my ankles as I got ready for work ( I was crying also).. She is also the one who screams to get in the room when I have a Reiki client with me. I truly believe that in some way,not sure how, animals speak to us of the spirit world.
