Their was a TV show on last night trying to explain Crop Circles. One quote was "This can not be explained maybe it is a form of higher consciousness raising that seems to be happening on this planet. They also said it is perfect Geometric and mathematical equations, and those in turn are musical notes when applied. (Simplified definition)

So during my meditations or REIKI session I have never actually visualized making beautiful designs in a field of Crops. Fess up who is the REIKI person out their making this beauty. For you I bow in gratitude.

Crop circles is just one of those unsolved mystery kind of things. While noone has conclusive proof as to how they occurr or why, there have been scientists that have "simulated" crop circles. They had a technique where they could make these geometric shapes without breaking the plants involved, getting to lay in the same fashion as crop circles and what not. So it is possible it could be a hoax. If I remember correctly the techniques employed could have also been used as far back as the first crop circles.
For me, it's another case of being undecided. Who knows what they are really? I'm open to them being a hoax as well as being some legitimate mystery.

Having studied symbolism from both a literary and psychodynamic perspective, having looked at architypal meaning of dreams and such, I always have to remember that there are times when "a cigar" is just "a cigar".

I am skeptical about crop cirlces. I am open to this being some extraclestrial intervention...after all there are markings on the planet that seem to come from such a higher perspective...yet men like to play tricks on other men.....

What better way to discredit than to hoax?

Who knows....many say Reiki is a hoax...I know this not to be the case....

I believe in a great number of things that others would find to be a hoax scam or just not true.
At the same time while i keep an open mind i don't just go and believe that every instance that is linked to something really has anything to do with what they link it to.
For instance someone can threaten to curse someone else. I believe it can be done. But that doesn't mean that just because someone has bad luck that someone is out to get them or that the person who said they were going to curse an individual even remotely has an idea how to go about it.
I believe in mythological creatures. But at the same time i see the stories and myth as a way of interpretting something else.
I think extraterrestrial life does exist. I think it pretty silly to think we're the only intelligent life in the wide expanse of the Universe. Does that mean they have ever been here? Not really. Is it possible? Sure but that doesn't mean it has happened.
Alot of folks say alot of today's mysteries are all about some aliens from long ago. If humanity started around such and such time and something incredible exists from a period we consider to be "not as educated" then it's a logical statement. Then again they find more evidence all the time suggesting humanity is far older than we thought. Finding things to show maybe older cultures were alot more advanced than we give them credit for.
I try not to be firmly decisive either way on such things. For instance people who claim to be vampires. I understand that the definition of vampire these folks use has little to do with the actual folklore. Yet they then seem to sink into such moviestyle stereotypes. Sure they could be something different from human. Or they can just be humans that think vampires are cool and "changed" the definition of what a vampire is so as to fit their needs and then say everyone else doesn't know the truth. I find the second instance far more likely.
I think alot of supernatural and alien and magickal things do exist. But that doesn't mean they are at all what people think they are. In some sense they are greater. In some senses i do think it's just how people of the time viewed certain circumstances.

Many things are in a way best left to the imagination rather than being explained to death.

I love mystery and ritual...proof is not always a needed part of the equations.

fully agree to this.
I stated that when I just take things as they are without trying to find out why, where from, where to.....I deeply can feel them, enjoy them or forget them. I also stopped to compare experiences as everybody, everything feels different and makes its own uncomparable experiences. But to speak about them is so nice and helpful..
Same with Reiki, I met it, I felt it, I love it, never tryied to find out why and how...., never doubt.

So, concerning crop circles, I find them amazing, just magic.

My personal view...

In the theater and, I suppose, in cinema, as well as in good literature, we as the audiance are asked to enter into a state of mind some call "suspended disbelief".

This allows us to believe that Puck can really turn the good oafish Bottom into a creature with the head of an ass in A Mid Summer Night's Dream

It allows us to believe that any actress has become the charater she portrays.....

Beliefs are powerful...Beliefs drive so much behavior...
Sometimes suspending disbelief and leting go of rational thought for the sake of art, beauty and imagination is essential. The momment is often more important than the "why"

- none of the "mundane" versions that try to explain away an "extraordinary" causality are the least bit convincing (the prank theories)

- yet I have not heard any other offered "theories" that are any more satisfying

Firekeeper, I've read that some group actually proved they could create these by human means, and did so, but that certainly does not prove that all crop circles were created by humans as hoaxes. I don't believe that for one minute.
