I am looking into a healing vacation in 2005. I am getting drawn to Sedona/desert. Does any one have any insight into the area? I know it is a powerful place. Thank you Beth

Make sure to visit the chapel of the Holy Spirit ( I think I remember the name right) It is built into the peak of a mount and is very cool. That was a highlight for me. I actually felt very drained at most of the "vortex" areas. But I am sure everyone feels a bit differently on these hikes. There is also a river nearby where you can bodysurf the rapids...now that was cool.
Enjoy the planning,
Feather

Otoharo!

Beth, this is mostly hipe. It is powerful but so are other places. Mid forest is powerful, mountain climbing is powerful. So take your pick. I passed near there a year ago but did not circle down to see it. Breitenbush Oregon, is very high energy. I can vouch for that and second weekend in August is the Reiki Gathering. Talk about high energy! Enjoy wherever you go.

Go.

AZ called me loud and clear last year. I had never been there before and really wasn't on my list before. It popped into my head and didn't let go. I have always been partial to water/beach vacations. So we answered the call.. climbed up on a hill last September and got married. It was perfect. I have never experienced anything so spiritual and breathtaking in my whole life.

The peace and beauty of the Red Rock formations is wonderful. As you drive around the switchbacks every time you come around a bend you see a different awe inspired catch your breath landscape. The clouds swept very fast over the Red Rock and seem to spotlight different parts of the formations.

I only had a chance to climb one "Vortex" and that was Bell Rock. I sat on top and meditated. Tons of energy.
We stayed in a little lodge with Cathedral Rock formation right outside our window.

Have a good one.

Namaste!

Az called me three years ago. We fell in love with the place. I was in a very sad frame of mind due to my grandpa's failing health. So I feel like my energy was blocked and not very receptive. We visited all the vortex areas. I was not really able to climb to the exact location and I did not feel any energy. But still, I was very happy to have visited that beautiful place. That being said, my Virginia beach vacation was so memorable because I was buzzing with energy for a week after spending time near the ocean.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

i've never been to sedona, my friend is from arizona and told me that sedona can be overrun with tourists.
but, like i said, i havent been there. probably will go someday.
one of the most amazing places i have ever been to is Incapirca, Ecuador. it is located up high in the Andes mountains and has an amazing energy to it. along with the inca ruins, there is a face carved into the side of a mountain. i have never seen so many shades of lush green grasses. the drive up through the mountains is breathtaking.
stay away from the llamas, though, they can be nasty.

enjoy your travels!

Thank you for your beautiful story. I live by the ocean and od spend most of my vacations beaching. However AZ is calling me. I am planning on going alone (no kids no hubby). What was the name of the place you stayed at and did you get any treatments while you were there ? Blessings Be ..... Beth
