Is anybody there? The boards - the cafe and loads of other boards - are all really quiet. I feel as if I'm all alone surfing this planet. Maybe I've gone into a different dimension :-0
No one to talk to, no messages to read, nothing for me to say either except whine that I'm all alone :-}}}
I hope this is a good sign and that everyone is well.
The weather here right now is warmish, bright but overcast. We have a tiny airfield near us. People jump out of little aeroplanes and land back in the airfield or they're supposed to! Today they've been landing in the surrounding fields which are all full of crops. The farmers will go mad.
I've been watching them while out in the garden - not digging or weeding but making a wire wall hanging thing - I don't know what it is - a creation.
Have any of you been creating things lately - or more than usual? I've got loads of projects on the go at the moment. I've never painted anything but shelves and walls in my life but I have a strong urge to do just about nothing else - don't know what will come of that.
Oh well. Signing off now.
Love and hugs
Eleanor

Namaste Eleanor,
I have noticed the same and have been wondering also. It has been very quiet. What to do, what to say? Then I remembered a quote I read at one of Sai Baba's websites--
to practice silence. "For the Voice of God can be heard in the region of the heart only when the tongue is still. Silence is the speech of the spiritual seeker. Soft sweet speech is the expresion of genuine love. Hate screeches, fear squeals, conceit trumpets--but love sings lullabies. It soothes. It applies balms. God is love. So you must become love in order to attain God, feats of hard spiritual discipline are superfluous. Love is enough." With the influx of Light at the time of the solstice and with the solar eclipse, perhaps it is time to experience the wonder, Peace and Love of the Divine Presence within the silence. Perhaps being taken to another level of divinity on our journeys through life. Perhaps the "between " time between the ebb and flow of energy. I have noticed it is during times such as in the quiet, that some of the most profound thoughts and experiences manifest. Perhaps it is a sign of more openness ( more space) to be in, more spae within. How will this evolve? Perhaps many have gone within the contemplation for awhile. No doubt to emerge with ever greater light .
Another description given about the Standing Tree Meditation, is that "Like a tree with its deep roots, powerful trunk and great spreading branches, you appear to remain unmoving.In reality you are growing from within."
Reiki Blessings,
Earthsmist

Yes I agree with this. I can feel the peace here and on the net. Thank you for taking the time to write this out.
Actually watching the 'skydivers' today has been wonderful. They stay up there in the thermals(?)- I can imagine the peace up there too.
Much love
Eleanor

Dear lumpflink,
The only thing I have been creating ,it seems, is havoc. BAGL.....
Although, I have been cleaning out closets & getting rid of stuff this week. Thinking about painting the inside of the house as well.
Ha...so much to do, so little time.:)
peace, love & joy,

Namaste...
It has been quiet, and the chat room still empty. But, I too have been absent, and somewhat quiet....not really listening to the stillness, as I should though. Great posts....good food for quiet thoughts!
I have had the urge to clean out and paint my room, and the bathroom....yet, I have more work scheduled than I care to; so not sure when I will manage the painting....but did succeed in cleaning out a small room of my Aunt's for her today! (does this count??)
Glad all is well, even if its quiet!

Eleanor,
Yes, my mother in law said to my husband, "Annette is so quiet today." I needed that, and I, too, am in the silent midst of cleaning out drawers and closets, throwing away unused items, and loving this home with my dusting and cleaning. Sometimes wondering if there is a world out there in which I have a part. Sent out strings with love to friends far away. Need to know I am not alone. Felt it here, too, the last few days. But, yes, God speaks in the silence.
Hugs to you,
Feather

Hello all,
Sometimes we just need the quiet.
Between going to work, I find I am throwing out stuff I don't need any longer.
Donating clothes/stuff, making my life a little simpler, less cluttered....
Is that a metaphor for cleaning out my spiritual life as well?
I hope so.
It takes so much energy to keep going through the same olde stuff.
Have fun.
Blessings,
Priestess

Hi Priestess
Yes I think clearing out physical old stuff is synonomous with clearing out our spiritual old stuff.
We lived in a very small house in a cul-de-sac for almost 6 years and I craved space - we all did. The kids were becoming adults and the house seemed full just with 4 of us there, never mind our friends. We wanted not to annoy the neighbours with music etc, and for them not to annoy us. We had an attic full of boxes of books and other stuff that we'd never managed to unpack the whole time we'd lived there. One day we decided that it was time to get rid of the stuff we'd had stored in the attic. This started a mass clearing of every room. (Whatever the outcome that was very theraputic.) I suppose that would have been during October and November of 1999. By March 2000 we were living in another house - no neighbours except sheep and cows, fields all round, more rooms, and such an enormous sky. I asked for space and got it. Interestingly enough there are hardly any cupboards in this house so its hard to store anything that we don't use. Consequently we only hang on to things we really want.
So good luck to all of you with your clearing out - you never know where it might lead :-}}}
Love and hugs

You've found and unearthed an untapped old skill like painting. Close your eyes and paint what you see. Is the essence of what you see the essence of Eleanor, or the essence of the universe eons ago?
Or could they be ONE AND THE SAME?

Priestess,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- one view is that throwing out or donating old clothes has to do with ego attachments to "things samsaric"
- is this spiritual work??
- well, a donated coat (compassionate action) that keeps someone else warm is a lesson for both
>:-}}
- the effects of compassionate actions accummualte to our Karma in a manner that requires little or no "resolution" -
- is this spiritual??
>:-}}}
- besides, there really is no such thing as "olde stuff" in Karma terms -
- All our Karma is here now or will manifest in the future.
>:-}}
- when quiet also includes Mindful - surely we must be on the right track.

Namaste
I don't ever think of Karma. Rightly or wrongly. I just am, trying to be in the now.
Perhaps I should have said unwanted stuff instead of old stuff.
All I know is that getting rid of unwanted anything - be it possessions, what are commonly called weeds, thoughts, whatever - is always beneficial. To me it clears the mind which may or may not be spiritual. It works for me.
