Hi Everyone,

Mattie Stepanek, a wonderful young man has crossed.

He is a beautiful, gentle Spirit who's life work was to be a peacemaker. He died at 13 years of age. If you are not familiar with his books, all of which have "Heartsongs" somewhere in the title, please give them a chance. He was an incredible poet who started writing at 3 years old. Despite being confined to a wheelchair most of his life, as was his mother, with a very rare form of Muscular Dystrophy, he also outlived 3 of his siblings. He had a very tough life, but through it all remained full of love for living, for life, for others. Whether you knew of him or not, his work as a peacemaker will ripple out to you, to all of us.

Matt was an exceptional human being..
I send to him an Eagle Feather,
Peace gentle soul...

He was a "child" who understood things,
us adults struggle with.

I am lucky to have 2 of his poetry books and
posted a few of my favorates on the RC a
year ago or so.

His Smile & Enthuiastic Energy will be certainly
missed...

I remember him! He was an amazing human being.

I just read the news on his passing. What a special soul he was. Sending light and love to his mom during her time of grief and loss. thank you to Mattie for blessing our lives with his spirit.

What a very special soul Mattie was. I remember the first time I saw him speak and tell people about his poetry. You could just tell he was here on the earth at this time for a very special reason. He was such a wise earth-angel. He was a blessing to so very many people. Let us remember his family at this time and send them love & light. He was and continues to be an inspiration to me personally and to many other people, I am sure.
