I know how you feel. My last wasp raid scarred me for life I think. I had been out on my own for about 6 months and struggling to get bills paid so I had to move back home. My dad had set up his shortwave radio equipment in my old room and had never opened one of the windows apparently.
When I opened it for some fresh air I noticed somehow wasps were getting in. There were like ten of em. I moved the blinds to check the window screen for holes and apparently they had set up shop in the window and i broke the nest open when I opened the window. No lie there was like 40 of em hanging out in the window slowly filtering into my room.Totally freaked me out I had to sleep in the living room for two days and they never cleared just moved into the room so i went at em with some Hot Shot. My room felt absolutely disgusting fora few more days and i swear i was seeing huge 10 feet wasps hanging out on my wall. they had been all in my closet and everything. And I felt horrible for my chemical attack. Hell I steel feel guilty.

Otoharo!
Sal,the is a difference between labeling something evil and setting up guidelines for appropriate behavior. These guidelines require voting to make them legal. None of that process is passing judgment.
There is another factor here. How freeing it is to really perceive that God or the Universe does not dictate our behavior.

Hi Roxy,
A teacher once told me that only thinking something good or bad makes it so.
A good book to read by Dr. Scott Peck regarding evil is called "People of the Lie". Some people get it, some don't.
Peace,
Prosperity

OK, I have to share my wasp story. <grin>
When we were first married, we lived in a 150 year old house that had been abandoned for 5 years before we moved in. We had to literally take it back from the wildlife (we made peace with the mice by compromise - they could live in the walls as long as they didn't enter OUR living area).
Anyway, one morning I was still in my nightgown, doing a load of laundry when I felt a series of stings on my leg. I looked down and there was a huge black wasp crawling on my nightgown, headed up toward my face. I ran through the house screaming in hysterics, ripping off my nightgown, threw it into the bathroom and slammed the door shut. Continued hopping around the kitchen, hyperventilating rather loudly, for several minutes.
All the windows and curtains in the house were wide open.
Luckily the nearest neighbor was a half mile away!
Sorry if this is TMI, but it still makes me chuckle to think about it.

LOL
Don't worry about it - I didn't even notice it.
I make Freudian typos in my posts all the time - never notice them until after I've hit the "Post Message" button.

Celt, I need all the wasps, bumble bees, honey bees, and other winged creatures to polinate the garden. I have never been bothered even though they come around me to descern whether I am a flower. They may be persistant, but I just don't bother them and they leave me alone.

The incident I mentioned took place over 20 years ago. These days I'm more inclined to stand still until they lose interest. :)

The only time I really freaked out from a wasp or hornet was when we were out hiking. We were transversing this cliff when I stuck my hand into what looked like a good handhold. Unfortunately, it was also a hornets nest, and I was stung about 15 times just on my hand. What freaked me out was that they kept following me, as I was trying to get away without falling to my death, and kept stinging. There were 5 or 6 of them, and it really scared me. My hand was swollen, I was hyperventilating, and my husband was freaked because we were very far from any medical help. I found out later that wasps and hornets can follow the scent from other stings. Oh, and I never stick my hand in holes that I can't see in to.
The picture you just painted reminds me of my mother when she opened a cabinet door and had a cockroach fall into her hair (bugs freak her out under the best of circumstances) - she was screaming,jumping, shaking her head, trying to remove her clothing and calling for the dog (their dog like to eat bugs) and everyone else in the house to help. The dog helped, everyone else was laughing too hard to be much use.

Hi Finality
Do you think that anyone can truly be labelled "Evil"? Its a common headline in the newspapers, like "Evil serial killer caught" or whatever.
I can't think that they or any historical tyrants have ever thought themselves evil - they would probably say they're following some higher purpose or felt compelled to do it, and does this mean that they they arent evil but very misguided?
I agree it is good to think that for the most part we make our own choices, but we are buffeted by the currents of the world and our surroundings so perhaps thats plenty to deal with...

Conflaration, if they smell fear, they get scared, they think there must be something here to fear, that is when they attack. Unless you are a treat to their nest, they will not attack except when they smell or detect in some manner fear.

Sal, I thought I was making it clear that good and evil do not exist since there is no judgement. I do not label anything as evil or good. It's appropriate behavior or not as befits human guidelines, not God's or the Universe's.

Perhaps, I should qualify this a bit. When one has chosen God, and going home' one has to clear out all the emtional stuff one has stored in the body. Of course, having Reiki also demans this. The desire not to create more stuff in order to clear out, is a brake on behavior. That does not mean that guidelines are outside of us, but our own body tells us when stuff needs to be dealt with. Since I know there is no Karma, I also know whatever needs clearing from other lifetimes is present in the body now, there is not need to believe in karma.

Hello Roxy, *hugs you warmly***
I firmly believe that evil doesn't really exist.. :}
In truth duality doesn't exist. This was merely put in place because we humans need to be able to see things as existing and the only way was to have a contrast, so contrast it is.
Just because someones forgotten themselves doesn't mean their evil.. I'd call some acts they do evil yes.. but the person is always perfect.. Just forgotten perfection- perhaps sleeping perfection eh?
(example, Billy does something bad, but he is not bad. Seperate the action from the person, thus keeping his self esteem in tact- hopefully)
I agree very much that its more the thought about something. Hitler and all those guys? In my truth there very, very, hurt and afraid people that strike out because they are afraid to let love in. They firmly believe on some level that Love Hurts.
So, these people are are already in what I'd consider hell. The hell of their own making. Of course I know our Father/Mother would be taken home. The question is, will they know they are worthy of going home?
I"m assuming its highly possible if you torture and maim others, you must be awfully hurtful and disrespectful to yourself. Thus, you wouldn't even allow yourself to feel worthy of home and comfort. Bless them all in thier pain and misery. At least those of us killed and harmed by others will one day return home without fear.
These folks will have to get past that filter too as well as a lifetime of feeling less then.
No one who is happy does harm to anther because to harm another is to harm yourself. We can remain unconsious only because we have taught ourselves to be numb. Numb so you don't feel the hurt you are causing yourself (&others) and unfortunately, numness means you can never feel the good stuff of life.. Cut off from Source just like that.
I did a healing on a woman last month and the issue of evil came up for us in conversation. She told me that she has died several times and the last time had to call on AA Michael to help free her from the grasp of Satan.
I told her, what if your seeing the devil was an archeotype of your feelings of inferiority, your badness? What if the devil was your unhealed issues?
This woman by the way is a Catholic, and also a Reiki Master. She has also read the Conversations series so I knew that she had the information..
This woman was messed up from the toes to her head. 20 mins of listing all that was wrong with her and her deteriating condition.. Amazing really.. That is why I got the punishment, not good enough feelings from her.
Thats when I was pretty sure her fight with the devil was her own unworthiness to be loved by God Now.. Not in some distant future after pergatory was finished..
ITs important to start realizing you don't have to be a nasty, brutal killer or rapist to feel these feelings.
These feelings live within us,... The gentle Spirit within us gets pushed to the side so we can highlight all our misdoings.. Punishing ourselves over and over again to keep us in the flight or fight feeling so we can never rest in the comfort of our Creators Love.
Love is unconditional no matter our condition or how it looks from our human perspective. Creator tells us, no deed to bad, nor thought will ever keep us from our True Home.
Lastly, remember please when you do go back home that everything changes according to thought. If you don't like whats greeting you on the other side, call in some assistance and know its coming.. That its already there. That all we need to do is tune in and it manifests instantly.
Don't be afraid that Love will let you down.. Don't fear the darkness nor curse it, because it defines so beautifully the Light.
I love you all,
Jahnavi :}

Jahnavi,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- one view is that 'evil' does exist - that it is, at least in part, the persistence of the effects of 'harmful thought and feeling forms'
- have you never entered a room or other space and felt an almost overwhelming 'evilness' about the energy there??
>:-}}
- as these thought and feeling forms persist over time, some sentients will access this harmful energy and generate more harmful thoughts and feelings
- 'evil' can thus be thought of as operating much like Karma
- of course, 'compassion' will operaste similarly
>:-}}
Reiki all around,
all blessings,
Firekeeper
