Anyone heard from Wendy (sunshiine) recently? The last I heard, her son was having health problems.

Hi Reikicelt, Rob (sweetie yourself!)
I am still around, just been in a rough place for a few months.......all the illness with the kids has wrecked me, add to that my Uni assignments have piled up and I am under pressure. Decided to have a mini-breakdown, just for the heck of it.
Back on deck, assignments are under way, children are much better (especially Solomon, gosh it is so good to hear him laugh again, the REAL mischievous little laugh that shows his humour is healthy again! along with the rest of his skinny little body)
and I am trying to find some time and space to recover myself.
Have not been able to visit here much lately, sorry, I miss you guys heaps...in fact, I miss everyone.....seems like I have been way too isolated of late.
Well, might have a drink to that......bottle of red anyone?
Cheers
love always
Wendy

It's good to hear from you, Wendy! Glad Colomon is getting back to his old self, even if it means he's driving you crazy again. LOL That's what kids are for, right? To keep us on our toes? ;>
Love ya,
Celt

White for me. I get snockered after the first glass of red.
I am glad you are back on deck. Your Solomon is very hard to keep down. He does and will continue to keep you on your toes. Fun stuff.....

Oh dear friends, how i wish i truly could sit around the fire with you and open a couple of nice west aussie wines.
Even if it meant my true nature showed and i fell in a snoring heap after the first glass (I gave up dancing on tables just a few small years ago)
Gosh i would just love your company and to fill your hearts with gladness
(and your bloodstream with aussie liquor!!)
It has been too many years since I had friends over!
Big warm hugs
Wendy

Aussie wines...yum. :) We can get them over here now! We've been trying out some chardonnays and pinot grigios that are quite nice. (hic) Funny thing, though... after the second glass, my accent starts to change. <wink>

aaah you said it!
Glad you acknowledge that it is you guys who have the accent. Funny how we aussies are the only ones without an accent.
But then, after a few wines, we all sound the same anyway.
So - it amuses me that you can get aussie wine over there......I am not allowed to send it! It is prohibited for us to send wine to the USA (I tried to send some as a gift to a friend). I hope it was a nice one you got to try. There are so many wineries where i live, i guess I am spoiled by the choice. Plus I hate to drink alone, so basically never get to open a bottle from one year to the next.
Cheers....have one for me.

I'm trying to think what labels we've tried. I know one of my favorites has a multicolored kangaroo on the label. Yellow Tail?
Aussie wines are all over the place here - we can even get them at a regular grocery store.
Wine shipment laws are quirky in this country, too. Certain states, like California, are allowed to ship wines anywhere in the country. Other states, like North Carolina and Ohio, are only allowed to ship _within_ the state. So, when I need to replenish my supply of North Carolina wine, I can order it over the internet but I have to ship it to my parents' or my sister's house, and pick it up next time I'm down there. Of course, by the time I make it down there, a bottle or two is mysteriously missing from the box! LOL They call it a "handling fee".
