The Reiki Cafe 

Hi everyone,

Hope you can give me some insight.

Someone I know has had a rather unpleasant time of dealing with a man who has abused his ability as an energy worker. He was her Reiki Master/Teacher, and unfortunately their relationship turned sour. That was over a year ago, and he is still trying to usurp power over her. She has asked him not to contact her, not to send Reiki, just to leave her alone. Well the bottom line is, he is still 'after her' to the extent that she is getting physically ill and can feel him working on her chakras in a negative way. So far her most effective solution has been using love, and visualizing it as a pink energy. Whenever she feels him connecting, she sends so much of this pink 'loving' energy to him, (through the tube that is connecting them) that his negative energy cannot come into her.

My question to you is, do you have any other suggestions as to how she can really break this connection once and for all? The method she is using right now is only stopping the attacks temporarily, not eradicating. Any suggestions?

She should automatically shield herself in white light to protect herself. Also I was taught that if someone is hooking into your energy field, that by crossing your ankles and arms across your body, that you effectively close your aura so others are unable to get in.

Some visualize a mirror in their shield that reflects back any negative energies to the person sending them.

I was given this cord cutting visualisation exercise many moons ago and have found it quite useful.

Sit on the floor with a lighted candle in front of you. Visualise the person/situation that you are having problems with sitting opposite you behind the candle. Now begin to see the cords that bind this person/situation to you. Now visualise a golden pair of scissors and one by one cut through the cords that bind you, freeing yourself. As you do this gather up the ends of the cords and throw them into the flame of the candle. If you wish to you can ask the Angels or your guides to help you throughout the visualisation.

This is the worst happening I have ever heard! I can tell you what Coll taught us 30 years ago. In meditation, visualize cords and hooks that are in your energy field. Visualize giant scizzors cutting all these cords and hooks. While your friend can relieve herself, actually the effect on the man is that he thinks this is a return of affection for him, so it is like a reverse come-on. If she can cut it connection and of course she can, he will become frustrated and hopefully wil quit.

This situation is one that should be able to be reported to some regulatory board of Reiki that could remove his license to teach and do reiki. I believe she needs to find a way to report to the Reiki Magazine, and then will get back to Ms. Furumoto and the Alliance.

Some thoughts:

The ceremony of cutting cords is an honorable respectful way of terminating a relationship. Often our own memories, or mental attempts in reviewing the situation to learn, can re-activate connections, especially if the other person has this intent also.

I have concerns that "shielding" is a defensive tactic, rather than pro-active. And defensive tactics and expectations and fears, I think, will reactivate or manifest the same situation. Sending pink light may just continue the cycle. Is this person subconsciously maintaining this connection by sending pink light? I am trying to take the approach of transmutation of disharmonious energies. Turn off the tape or switching the tape in the mind about these past happenings, and turn it over to higher beings for healing so one does not dwell.

The lesson has been learned and permanently recorded, according to some thinkers, and the current memory needs to be dealt with and let go of.

Also, there is a prayer, in a book by Susan G. Shumsky, ("Divine Revelation"), as follows:

She attributes it to the Unity School of Christianity; it is stated as an affirmation rather than beseechment. use with the white light visualization.

The light of God surrounds me.
The Love of God enfolds me.
The power of God protects me.
The presence of God watches over me.
Where I AM, God is, and all is well.

She has another prayer, as a precursor to mediations, which is what the book is about. She states it is used to close off the aura prior to a channeling mediation.
"I AM in control. I AM the only authority in my life. I AM divinely protected by the light of my Being. I close off my aura and body of light to all but my own God self. Thank you God, and SO IT IS."

This is done prior to channeling, meditation, so do not know if appropriate to all times. Perhaps can be reworded to include harmonious and positive energies, rather than exclusively "God self".

- what ever 'energy work' he may be doing it certainly is not Reiki and it is likely that it is Intention and thought forms that are responsible for bringing the unwanted energy (there really are no tubes - that is for IVs)

- it is also Intention and minfulness with certain thought forms that can keep out unwanted junk.

- a shaman might ask a Power Animal to help with an intervention. This is an ancient and effective technique.

- some Power Animals can be 'enlisted' as long term 'guardians'. I have such. In fact, during one ritual where a student was going to do a shamanic scan of me she had to first negotiate with my Animal Guardians before she was allowed to "journey" into my body for the scanning practice. She also correctly identified two of the guardians.

- but, if your friend does not do shamainc practices there are other options. But, in some traditions these are not necessarily as "passive" as sending pink energy.

- now, she may try any and all 'cord cutting' rituals that are suggested. But they also may only prove temporary.

- because, if the person is actively doing energy work to maintain olde cords and establish 'new hooks', so to speak, then one will have to keep at the bandaid practices continually as well - or until the intruder gives up.

- sometimes "shield" practices such as referred to by others is sufficient. But the quality of such shields does depend to some degree on the practitioner's skill and mindfulness.

Hi Featherpoint,
When I took an SSR attunement class with Diane Shumaker, she specifically asked for me to have a direct connection with Spirit rather than the most common connection which channels the energy through all of the lineage and then to Spirit.

Perhaps if your friend could be reattuned in this manner her ties to the RM would be severed, and he wouldn't have this strong access to her energetically.
