The Reiki Cafe 

Hi I beleave I may be under psychic attack. It may be comming from my ex husband. We have been divorced for 12 years. With having children we have had to stay in contact with each other. He has a underground way(few people see it) of controling people. In the past he was involved in devil worshiping.

Why I think he could be behind it. He called my oldest daughter up the other night. Told her who was in my house. And trying to pry information out of her. (we had had the house smugged 2 hours before I talked to my daughter, after comming home and feeling something evil.) I have been getting strange migrains, and sometimes it is like a battle is going on in my head. It is hard to concerntrate on Reiki to even heal myself.

What are the best ways to protect myself? How should I fight back? How do I break the tie's. How do I get out of his hold forever? Where do I get help to fight this battle?

I am truly sorry to hear about your situation.
There are others on this board more experienced than myself who are better placed to help you.
All I can say is that I understand how you're feeling, having been through something similar.
I am still trying to deal with it...although the light does begin to shine brightly once more.

ispirited, always remember good always is stronger than other. That is positive energy is stronger than negative. Fill yourself with love energy. Fill your home and all its nooks and crainnies with love. Love and joy can swallow up all the rest. If you do not know how to do this, explain to the Holy what you desire. Look for the answer. You have guides. Talk to them. Look for answers. If your focus is on Love and Light, you will see a difference. The dark can not get in.

- he may be "doing something" but if you have not resolved your attachements to him then anything he 'might' be doing would be easier.

- keep in mind, too, that simply being a 'devil worshipper' does not automatically mean one is skilled in attacking others psychically or 'magically'

My advice is don't jump to conclusions. Which isn't to say you're not being psychically attacked. But there may be other explanations both on the spiritual side and the more mundane.

And I agree with firekeeper's statement about his belief system not neccessarily equating energy working experience.
My experience has been that different ways of utilizing energy all require discipline, understanding, and practice.

As far as defending yourself. There is shielding , examining yourself for attachments( which could be formed by him our your own worry about life in regards to him), invoking certain sacred symbols , etc. The list goes on and on. But my best advice is don't pay him any mind. Accept the occurrences are in your life for a reason and the difficulties are only making you stronger. Bless him, and wish nothing but the best for him, and go about your own life.Be happy, positive, and free.

I feel better after reading these. I am going to protect myself. Then each day I will try to remember.

I am no expert but will share some thoughts. Is it possible that the migraines are related to thoughts about the past & your relationship with your ex, old fears, etc? Controllers can be subtle in their ways. Since you know him & the way he operates, I imagine that he knows that simply calling your daughter is enough to send a powerful message to you. Pushing old buttons, etc.
I have heard that if one projects thoughts or energy toward or against another & it is not accepted nor neutralized by the target it will return to the sender.
Do not give him power by telling yourself over & over that he can harm you. If you tell yourself that, then it will become so. Why not surround yourself with a protective circle, with good thoughts and a strong aura? Do things that bring a sense of peace & calm to you, that relax you & those things that strengthen you, make you feel good about yourself. Activities that bring joy & laughter are good choices. Get some fresh air & sunshine as often as you can. A warm bath with some sea salt. Prayers that you enjoy, ones that make you feel the connection to the divine. Include a prayer of protection in the morning upon arising & before you go to sleep.
When you think about him, when you react to what he does, you give him what he wants, a connection to you. The question to ponder is do you want to be connected to him? Sometimes it is hard to let go. And that is how he gets to you.

Blackearth has me lay on the earth, at the foot of a tree that calls, or a tree that strikes me as beautiful. It can take away lots of stress/fear/neg. energy. I try to empty my mind of all thinking, especially worry, or anxiety downward spirals.

I stay til I get still.

Listen. If you focus on just feeling the ground beneath, and releasing, the tree and earth do the rest, and feel very honored ...

When we relax into her care; She, the true catcher in the rye, loves it. Giving thanks in advance helps to.

Is it cold now in Utah? It is in Kansas ... I bring an old blanket, or two, and a pillow if I need more time. The notion that you are not perfectly protected is illusion; give these thoughts of attack, no rent space in your mind/heart. Focus on the light in your solar plexus, breath it in and out. Gentle light to you and all whose lives you touch.

Beau, what you describe, I have felt and recognized the tree was being reiki with me. All of earth and nature radiates reiki.

I love all the help your giving me. I am going to go grab my sleeping bag. GO out side for the next while. The hardest part is finding the my favorite tree.

And in more own words "What you think becomes real".
I too am working through some fear and had to be reminded of this.
Also in Shamanic practise migraines usually indicate anger unexpressed. Perhaps you need to sit and release your anger towards him for this.

Try this symbol Jesus gave me during my rough moments when I was afraid of possession..
A cross with a circle around it. This pulls in scatterd energy and also protects.. Put this symbol first on your heart, your brow and then start making it bigger and bigger and bigger. The energy will spread out and encompass you and all you are circing with its power.. This is Powerful too believe me! :}
The symbol means forgiveness and atonement.. The few times when I was really afraid and it wouldn't comfort me I would eventually see Jesus on the Cross... I saw above that perhaps it was some unforgiveness within yourself and I beleive its truth.. So, the symbol will protected you in that way too.. J is the Prince of compassion and even if you don't believe in J as the Saviour its ok. Its His message thats important and J is with all of us if were open..
Remember there is nothing as strong as Love. Love is the power that holds the Universe together..

Funny, I sat working with my son who is really, really getting strong psychically.. He is 9! When I started using the divinity symbol he said he could see them literally hanging in the air of my room.. He became very serious and started placing them all over the room filling it up.. It felt important to him somehow.. Even if you can't see it, it is there..
