Anyone know a good website to order white sage from...and who deliver in the US? Please could you post it on the Resources board.
Also, does anyone burn anything other than sage for cleansing and such like?
Thanks!
Natalie

Natalie,
Namaste
Every Hindu worth their salt burn camphor, incense sticks and other stuff every morning for cleansing. (I don't even know what they are called in english!) A lot of indian grocery stores and online places carry them. Look under "pooja" items.

Natalie,
Hi.
One of my favorites which is also excellent for clearing and protection is a mixture of frankincense and myrrh. Frankincense tears and myrrh powder can be purchased at some alternative shops. Try a mixture that is 3:1 (frankincense to myrrh) and smoulder it on the handy little charcoal tablets that can be purchased as well. I avoid all commercial stick and cone incense because a lot of it is made with perfumes and other synthetic oils. They have little power and all give me a headache (so they have some power, I suppose - lol)
I will post a website at Resources that has lots of stuff.
Cheers,
RC

Hi Natalie,
I know a lot of people that burn sweet grass for cleansing and smudging. I prefer sage myself, and in California you can even get it at organic grocery stores.
After smudging I like to burn sandalwood incense, it nourishes the heart and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy:)
let us know what you try,
love and light,
Jessica

I use Sage that I buy locally. I also like Lavender very much. It puts me in the mood for energy work. I also find my cat goes nuts when I burn it cuz he knows I am about to start a session.
Big hugs,
Tracey

Otoharo!
Nats, I get mine from Spirit Dancer Sage. I will post the information. I use the desert magic sage, that is tiny leaves. I order the white sage and put some into my burner. I use a shell from the beach to burn in. They have all kinds of smudging materials. I have used White Buffalo Rosemary. It contains three sages, lavender, rosemary, sweetgrass, copal, sage and cedar. A friend of mine uses all these things in his work. I cleanse my house, have it burning when people come in to cleanse our atmosphere while they are here. This difficult to do in an apartment house because others think someone is using pot. My managers are tolerant but some residents are not.

Dear Finality,
I know what you mean about it smelling like pot. My landlord lives beneath me, and I don't want him to think I'm doing something illegal in his house. Also, Richard, my boyfriend, is very sensitive to smoke. I've been using a spray of a sage infusion instead.
Love,
Roxy
