Never thought the day would come...me giving two hoots about football...american football that is!
But when it's all around you and it's your neighbouring state in the superbowl, you just have to get excited. Even bought an Eagles sweater and wore it to work on Friday LOL.
And today is the day that I might buy my first house in the US. Still undecided, but mulling it over. This is the first serious possibility which has come up.
Exciting day today!
<hugs>

Hi Nats
Being English I'm not sure if this superbowl thing is big or something.

Hi Rob,
The superbowl is as big as the FA Cup in the UK, luckily without the hooliganism.
Unfortunately the Eagles lost, not without putting up a damn good fight.
I like supporting the underdog...;-) Seem to be doing a bit of that lately. Oh well, someone has to...
Haven't bought the house yet...something's holding me back...not sure what.
Not to worry, it'll happen when it's meant to.

I think they were winners anyway...
Held their heads high and fought till the end...in the face of twice winners...that could be intimidating...
It certainly wasn't a slaughter.
Sometimes, it's about the fight, the journey...not the result...

Yeah..
you got it...
I can just see it now...
the Eagles Players, on there plane ride home,
are saying to themselves...
"Sometimes, it's about the fight, the journey...not the result..."
As The Pats go to Disney World!

In the words of a wise sage I know:-
"Be Humble and True, though, whatever your power.
Sometimes you're the lightning, sometimes you're The Tower."
Anyone in the Pat's (and their supporter's) position would do well to remember this, as well as my own personal belief which is about being a good sportsman when winning, as well as loosing.
I find it fascinating how sports tends to draw out one's true character...

Hi Nats
So its the game the Americans call football (LOL) The one where the ball gets picked up and thrown before the player gets flattened by the other team?.
Oh and occaisionally the ball gets kicked as well (LOL)
Proper football (LOL) as played over here has cleaned up a lot now. The thugs can't afford the tickets these days especially to the FA cup.
So what is holding you back from the house purchase?
Maybe not the right property yet?
Namaste

Dear Nats,
There's something to be said for rooting for the underdog. I think it would have been nice of the Patriots to share the light for once. After all, if the Yankees could lose to Boston.....
Love,
Roxy

Hey Roxy,
I don't think it was the yankees "losing to boston", it was Boston beating the yankees and "breaking that good old curse"!!
Good game by all, a very exciting superbowl...the Eagles have 6 months to prepare for next season ;)
Yeah Patriots!!
Love,
