I got up this morn and knew I had to go out
my favorate store , Mystic Warrior,
this afternoon I went there.
(its a Metaphysical/Native American Store
owned by my friend Sergio)

I was foolin' around, playing with Sergios and
Catelins, (A worker & student of mine)
energies,
when I passed the pendulums,
they have over 50 of them displayed..

I froze ...
turned to the pendulums and my hand rose up
and picked out a pendulum!!!
Catelin laughed ...
and told me it just came in and she had put it there
5 minutes before I came in..
There was only 1 of these amoung the 50 others!!!

Well Sergio gave me 20% off and bamm I am
the
owner of a Pendulum!

Now...
What the Heck do I do with it!

Someone please instruct me...

As you can divine so much from a persons energy already I don't know what you would do! What is it about the pendulem that drew you to it? Maybe it is not what you are supposed to do with it, maybe there is an energy or experience related to the materials? Hold it in your hand and see if you get any feelings or images from it.

Have fun and if the earring thing doesn't work out there's always your rearview mirror:)

Seriously though, Joe, I've used a pendulum before to find weaknesses in a persons aura. You can use it to find things, all kinds of fun stuff...be creative...then you can tell us what to do with it!

I agree with the others, Mr. No Tools. Wear it or hang it is fine. I have a fairy and a favorite feather hanging from my rear view mirror. I think that for the most part you will find that you don't "need" this as a tool, because most of the uses people find for pendulums are things that you do well on your own.

That being said, I agree with holding it, listening to it, meditating and feeling its energy. If it spoke that strongly to you that you had to buy it, it has something to tell you, or a strong connection to you from the past (or the future!) Let the pendulum tell you what it is for. Maybe it's for you to give to someone else, and if so, it will tell you when to do so.

You didn't say....of what material is your pendulum made?

Greetings Joe,
I myself like playing with jewelry so it started out with me making one and others and I have purchased one or two. Just for fun not to be taken too seriously. Practicing on it occasionlly yet not to be used too much in my opinion.
There is a Minister who wrote a book about pendulums and I believe her name was Iris Betts or something. There are probably many books that would be informative. My last RM used a pendulum to see if attunments took yet never explained how to use one.

I was taught to use a pendulum at a dowsing workshop. My master asked me to treat the pendulum to be sacred n not use it in fornt of others. In this workshop , it was told that we can use the pendulum to have an access to our subconcious mind. Energise the pendulum holding it your palms, ask the divine to protect n heal it n then it starts swinging to questions of yes or no.

Pendulum is one tool I still use. It gives me quick answers. Since I don't "see" the chakras I use it to show me the shape and spin. Also use it at the grocery store....faster than muscle testing.

I agree, it has a message for you or possibly the energy of the stone is something you require at this time.

aventurine.

About the stone:

Aventurine is often referred to as the
all-purpose healer. This means not only that it
is considered by many to be good for physical
disorders, but that it heals on all levels.
Green is the color of healing, and aventurine,
as a member of the quartz family, has a concentrated ability to dissolve blockages.

It's a particularly effective crystal for emotional
healing (and is especially helpful when worn for this purpose or placed on the heart center during chakra balancing). It helps to balance the emotions,
and is one of the best stones to wear or carry
during stressful periods. It can also be used in
crystal layouts when stress is internalized in the
solar plexus area.

It is also used with stones that have a seemingly
more harsh energy. Malachite, for example, tends to
surface but not dissolve emotional blockages.
If aventurine is used in conjunction with malachite (especially in the solar plexus area)
emotional blockages can be more effectively released
and dissolved.

Bouts of sciatica.... by taping several aventurine crystals on the lower back area before going to bed
(hearts are perfect for this purpose), one wakes up

Hi Joe,

A friend of mine gave me an aventurine as a gift when was moving to San Diego. It was a gesture to suggest that she would miss me...(giving me a piece of her heart). I spent some time with it, but I haven't connected much with it...I'm more of a moonstone and clear/rose quartz girl myself.

You have to go with what feels right and what soothes your energies...much like picking your friends.

Yep, rolling on the floor laughing my happy bear behind off.

I will have to wait until I get to work for a longer answer on working with the pendulum. It is a wonderful "tool". I almost always have one with me and will bring it out for all kinds of situations and to fine tune answers.

Gee, did the stone sing to you? Do you hear it's song? Think about the attributes the green adventurine are sharing with you? Heart chakra? Healing? Joy? :-))

You connecting with the aventurine pendulum has me grinning, big time. :-)) I have this picture of you walking by and hearing a little voice going... Psssttt, hey, Bear Man, yeah, you. Come here, let me show you something. LOL

As others have mentioned there are so many ways that the pendulum can communicate with you. Remember it is the stone and its vibration that connects with you. I have found that I can handle different pendulums with different reactions. If it wants to come home with me it goes to swinging immediately. If meant for someone else, there is no motion. On occassion when I don't have one of my own pendulums with me I can ask for assistance from one that is handy and the stone will gladly do so.

You have already made great strides in tapping into the stone. Maybe now you get an idea of what I feel when I say that the spirit of the stone communcates with me. Some here at the cafe feel that I am giving my energy to the stones. I don't program them. That is not the way it works with me. I have asked the stones to share their energy me or to whom ever I am gifting it to. They seem more than happy to do so.

I still have not explored all the possibilties of pendulum use but have used it to check chakra energy, how far out another persons aura reaches, front, back and both sides, simple yes and no answers and assisting with selection of items. Personally I will take mine out an use it anywhere and time. No, I don't use it for every little thing like which apple to buy at the grocery store. LOL My friend Paula gets a kick out of watching people watch me when I do use it. You know, looking close to see if I am moving my hand to start the motion which I don't.

My main use of the pendulum is to communicate with my Guides. At this time I don't "hear" the fam very often. I have kept a journal from the get-go and can look back at the changes that have occured. When a particular guide came in. Hintage of things to come that they shared with me
and smile when I recognize the validation of the message.
I have included a website where you can printout some different pendulum charts. I like the alphabet chart myself.

For a lark you can ask if any of your guides would be interested in communicating in this way. Ya never know!

Some people feel the pendulum assists them with connecting with their higher self. For some this will be very true... no argument there. However, the lady that introduced me to the alpha chart tried in insist that I was only communicating with my higher self. Well, if this is true then I have a major Sybil/split personality complex going on and me, myself and I are having grand time. LOL A friend of mind held one of my pendulums and quickly put it down... too many voices.

Question about the aventurine... does it have any other matrix mixed in... some aventurine has hematite, flecks of pyrite or perhaps even mica mixed in. If so, their attributes are to be considered as well as the aventurine itself.

Joe, when you get right down to it... just enjoy. You seem to be pretty grounded and have had enough experiences to know when something feels right or not. Explore the penudulum and use it as it feels right for you.

Hi,

Pendulum used to get asked questions by usng subconscious mind. Since this pendulum is belongs to you, you can energise it with putting the pendulums into your palm. Then you need to ask some of this question:

1. I will activate the pendulums to guide me whenever i need it.

2. hold your pendulums with one hand and another hand place it below the sharp angle or your palm I should say it.

3. Ask the pendulums to move to the directions if the answer yes. (Either the pendulums will move by itself clockwise or anticlockwise)

4. Ask the pendulums to move to the directions if the answer is no. (opposite direction of yes answer).

5. Say Thank you. And it will stop whenever you say stop.

Try on! It is really helpful whenever you have any doubt on giving healing or any question you may want to ask or make decision. You can always used pendulums.

emelia, that is entirely true. The hitch is that it is very likely the intellect which is giving the answers, thus the ego. Any yes/no system is subject to ego intrusion into your affairs.

Now trying not to be to cynical (LOL) I have watched some people when they use a pendulum. Their hands definatly move in the direction that the pendy move in before it does start moving.
Of course that never happens with me (LOL)

Many people say that the pendulum is only giving you information from your own subconscious anyhow, so you may not THINK you are moving it but you are. Same applies to Ouija boards.

But then, this is how kinesiology works, too, and we trust that when it applies to how to help our own bodies. We trust our bodies electrical response to KNOW the right thing for it to eat or do. So...do we trust our own subconscious to answer other things???? Rather confusing, isn't it?

Hmmmmm....maybe someone should try holding a pendulum tied to a pencil or rod and then layed across two solid objects that cannot move (the pencil or rod would be kind of a bridge from the two objects.) Then ask the question. See if you get any answers. The only way you would get answers would be if the stone is being moved by another force. Of course, eventually, it will swing anyhow, from the motion of the earth. I might try this later with my moonstone pendulum.
