How do you determine when you should take a vacation?
Any thoughts or suggestions for escapes that do not necessarily require spending too much $ or necessarily leaving town? Vacation is very much a state of mind and an ability to relax and enjoy...'kick back, relax, and enjoy the ride/journey' of life!
But any suggestions?

Hi Aim
Probably its time when one starts asking the kind of questions I have been lately.
One idea is to visit your town/city like a tourist. Have picnic lunches, sit in the parks, talk to the people you meet, smile at everyone.
Enjoy your time off whatever you decide to do.
Much love
Eleanor

AIM,
Having very little money this year, we have been creative. We have fires in an outdoor fire pit and roast marshmallows
. Last week I slept outdoors in our hammock. Sometimes we make a fire in the fireplace and cook dinner in it. We are lucky enough to be near the Great Lakes, so we may drive to the beach at night when they don't charge admission. Pulling out a puzzle and having beer and pizza for dinner. Also had a fire circle at the beach with some like minded souls and had "ritual". I still have a yearning to travel, but maybe we will visit friends in other cities . I think sleeping outdoors is the best, if you are not in the middle of a city.
Good luck!

Namaste all!
Not sure how you determine it, but when the opportunity presents itself...go for it! We are calling it a mini-vacation....going this weekend to San Antonio Riverwalk! No kids at home this week, so it was declared vacation time!
See you Monday!! ((HUGZ))

Dear Aim,
Its time for a vacation when:
Children start to look like little monsters....
A little old lady in the car ahead of you going 30 miles an hour becomes a major thorn in your side ....
A full moon or a star filled sky doesnt touch your heart.
You cant remember the last time you Reikied yourself.
Chevy Chase is knocking on your front door......
peace,
holobon
