The Reiki Cafe 

Folks,

After the experiences I had yesterday while doing energy work on several people, it has dawned on me that placing this discussion in the "Other Than Reiki" is the appropriate place!

Last Sunday was the first time I did Reiki on my own without the assistance of any of the other Reikians and that's when things really happened. I was at CenterPoint for their usual monthly free healing fair. I worked on six people. It started out with the first person being the usual Reiki healing, but then things started happening.... by the time it was five o'clock, I expeienced the following:

The young oriental man is on the verge of becoming a monk which I picked up. I also picked up that he is into computers and had at least three previous lives as a monk as well as my clearing up a karma of his being brutally killed along with the rest of his village in a previous life. I also saw both him and his girlfriend's feet above water that was rippling on the verge of placing them into the water. When I worked on his girlfriend it dawned on me that the water to me is a symbol of rebirth.

Then there was the young lady who had a boy around the age of 10 with big freckles watching us from the other side. He wound up being her brother's friend from childhood who passed away. The boy was very attracted to her and felt safe (she has the indication in her aura of being a psychic healer someday). The lady knew somebody had been around since childhood but couldn't get a clear view until I told her. Well, on the second attempt to send him to the light, he went.

In two instances, I saw two different ladies on the beach. One of them was so strong that I saw/felt her digging her toes into the white sand, then hearing the seagulls and waves. One lady was planning a trip to the Carribean and the other goes to Galveston often.

In five of them, there were either guides or deceased people standing on the right side near the feet watching us.

And these are the highlights! There was much more.

Anyway, that's where I am headed at the moment... and I thought Reiki was the end result of all I have been searching for (ha-ha, the joke's on me!).

What you describe IS the result of Reiki's effectiveness. So calling it turning into something else does not seem correct. It certainly means that you were open to receiver whatever reiki brought. I am sure the clients felt better afterwards, and that is the point, isn't it!

Perhaps it's not that Reiki is changing into something else. You are just learning more about Reiki is.

There are fellow Reikians I've known who would not have responded so nicely.

Just awhile ago, while doing my errands, it dawned on me that what I was doing yesterday is healing. It's the healing of troubled souls and troubled minds.

I picked up from one of the young women a picture of her digging her heels into the ground over something that she didn't want to do or disagreed with. When I told her this, she lit up and told me that her parents and her were disagreeing on something major. I then gently told her that her struggles with her parents was actually due to her fear of losing a piece of herself (idenity or personality). I then assured her that it's okay to go along with her parents wishes if it will improve her present position in life (i.e., college) because in the end, she will be independent to live the life she wants to. The piece of her personality that she is afraid of dying will have actually been tucked away in the back of her personality closet and will be waiting to be pulled out again. Then the young woman teased me about getting with her parents before she came to me. Of course, I denied this, which is the truth because I didn't even know her parents were there nor that she was so young to be still living at home. Also, I know that what I passed on to her is from somewhere else because it has not been in my nature to be so compassionate and understanding.

Anyway, I am excited about this new twist in my journey of enlightment and look forward to an ever expanding horizon.

I want to add this to my former comment. Reiki always brings up all the things about a person which is in need of healing in some way. We either perceive it or not. In my experience it is always available when we open our ears and eyes to it.

How wonderful your higher seeing is!
your opening yourself up in new and wonderful ways and your acceptance of what you are seeing and trusting yourself is what is bringing all this higher understanding to the table.
its also great that you aren't trying to figure it out, that you allow the recipient to tell you the meaning. Your seeing in metaphoric ways it seems.
