I wrote and recorded Merry Christmas. It is the only Christmas song with both Santa Claus and Jesus Christ in it. listen...

MERRY CHRISTMAS

MERRY CHRISTMAS

We got so many presents under the Christmas tree
Santa Claus has been good to you and me
As you steal a kiss under the mistletoe
Merry Christmas to you

We got turkey and dressing smothered in cranberry sauce
We got honeybaked ham and a bottle of wine of course
In the candlelight, I propose this toast
Merry Christmas to you

Snow is falling, friends are calling
The neighborhood's dressed in white
Bells are ringing, the choir is singing
Their version of "Silent Night"

We won't forget the real meaning of this day
The day on which our Savior was born
It's Jesus Christ on my Christmas card
Merry Christmas to you
Oh yeah!

solo

Snow is falling, friends are calling
The neighborhood's dressed in white
Bells are ringing, the choir is singing
Their version of "Silent Night"

We won't forget the real meaning of this day
The day on which our Savior was born
It's Jesus Christ on my Christmas card
Merry Christmas to you
Merry Christmas to you

Very nice! What tune is this sung too? Or is it an orginal composition?
Blessings,

I composed the melody for "Merry Christmas." An interesting point is that I used the melody once before for a song called, "Country."

Jim,

Hi,

Apart from all the poverty and war in the world in the name of one "savior" or another, do I detect just a hint of cynicism in the lyrics? Or is it just me?

:)

Cheers,

RC
