Greetings,
I am wondering about some crystal use.

Last night I cleared and prayed over a large clear quartz crystal and placed it under my pillow. I asked for clarity of thought and of my path as well as clear communication with my guides.

I fell asleep nicely but proceeded to have horrible, scary dreams! Evil entities were after me, in my home,I was fighting them, sending them away.

I awoke, took the crystal out and put it away from me. I got up and felt them still near me. I surrounded myself in light and cleared my house. Everything has been fine since.

So what happened? The crystal was definitely male and strong. I have cleared it before in full moon and with CKR.

Did I do something wrong? I am not a usual crystal practitioner but thought I would try to sleep with it as I have read some great things about putting them under your pillow.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am not an authority on crystal use. I do keep them near and do use them though.
My Shaman uses many all the time. I have one we found in a river that she does not want to be around as the energy is so strong. It is a very large piece. I have no problems with it or the many others from the same river.
Each stone and each person is so different. Some we can hold and some we have to keep further away.
The only way to know about each stone's energy is through using it.
This one perhaps is not meant to be slept with for long periods.
The clear crystal should absorb negativities, not emit them.
I would suggest you just keep it in your bedroom nearer to you. Try an end table by the bed first and see how that goes. Move it further away if necessary.

Also, when charging the stone and asking for what you want, pick only one thing and be very specific. Do not ask for more than one thing at a time. Perhaps this was part of the problem.

Thank you, Donna. I will try again tonight. I am in a better place emotional and mentally today as well so we shall see. If I have trouble tonight I will try again with one of my smaller crystals.

Hi.

The Shadow can be quite poweful and obnoxious; and has little respect for crystals or other "tools" we may fool around with. It sounds to me as if your Shadow decided to prove a point.

this crystal is 'NOT' for you,
how could it tell you plainer...try other smaller ones, clear ones seem more receptive.....(this crystal was a to powerful energy,) to many crystals in the same room as yourself 'CAN' make you very ill... this one has sure given you a message of being 'to strong' for you, I would leave it well alone...there as so many others, I love the pink quartz, heart stone, but you will find your favorite, 'BUT' not this one eh!

Just an update...
I did not want to give up on my crystal so soon as I had just begun to work with it/him. I left it on my nightstand and tried it under my pillow again. No bad dreams but not the experience I had hoped for either.

Today, though, I sat holding it and went into deep meditation. I asked only one thing of my crystal friend and had a wonderful experience. I did, indeed, have my request granted and had a wonderful teaching experience with one of my guides.

I thanked my crystal friend and cleared it again before placing it on my nightstand again.

I just had a feeling I should not give up on it yet.

I have a slightly different perspective. Nightmares are our own shadows begging for us to pay attention...and so, they have great potential for healing! Perhaps this crystal is so powerful, it may have provoked , as it were, a profound movement of stuff that needs healing. I would thank the crystal for that, and pay close attention to the nightmares, to see what healing gems are stored inside.
Sounds like you will have an interesting relationship with this crystal.

Hi Feather,
Funny you should say that as I have been sick with head and throat congestion for 5 weeks. Sat. night I had a HUGE clearing and a good long cry for myself. I have felt right as rain since.

My crystal and I seem to be getting along fine now. I am thinking that it was me with the problem not him being too strong or wrong for me.
