Yes, I did it last winter, using the tapes. There is an energy
transmission involved, but you have to have purchased the tapes,
or be sponsored by one who has completed it (something like that,
but I purchased, so did not become involved with those details).
I liked it because I could work at my own pace, could review/repeat
when I wanted, and could do it at home (I was having health problems at the time, and could not get out).
To me, the benefits were increased sensitivity to energies within/near my field, an awareness of an energy stratum I had been previously oblivious to. Some tapes were deep, some were just fun (i.e. guided meditations).
I worked with a small group where we exchanged impressions and
experiences, so perhaps by paying closer attention in order to
relay, I gained more benefit. However, I also felt that this held me back from fully experiencing, as the logic mind was still involved, and so I would repeat later without the need to remember details.
I have purchased the second level, and am working on those. I feel it is a good way for me to develop my personal energy awareness on a physical and spiritual level. It is not reiki, but because I have/am reiki, I felt a positive effect on the reiki energies.
