The Reiki Cafe 

Hi Greetings to you all its been a long time since I called in Can anyone advise me? My friend and I are very soon setting up an Holistic place which will be attatched to my friends house she spoke to her friend who does the same as us but experienced evil spirits left by a client and things got so bad she started to work away from home> Can anyone suggest methods of clearing our space before and after treatments!! I do have smudge sticks certain crystals burn certain oils andd Reiki the rooms before and after but my friend id frightened that we may experience similar things.I am not as worried as her and we want to get things right.

- one cannot account for all possibilites

- having said that, if you keep the place (and yourselves) as free as possible of unwanted energies then you should be OK

- really bad stuff showing up is not an everyday occurrence (more the exception than the rule, by far)

- remember too, that if you or your friend go into a treatment carrying a bunch of anxiety (and other 'distress junk') it is just as likely that you will pass on unwanted stuff to clients as it would be that the client will pass unwanted stuff to you

Hi Inca,
I just read your post and wnated to add that in addition to smudging and clear intention and invocation try not to fear. Fear will make things worse. Love and light are your protection always. I also "lock down" my room before I do any work. I smudge to clear then with intention put up a barrier and say that only those beings of the light are welcome in this space.

Dear Tracey Thank you so much for your advise,it all made so much sense.I fear very little in life i think my friend sometimes listens to the negative things people tell her and let thing worry her where i dont take everything to heart and too seriously i suppose.Since doing my Reiki 1&2 I feel i am a totally different person or should i say have a different look upon life!! I felt cheated when i did my Reiki and was recommended to read and practise certain chapters of Penelope Quests book.Whenever i talk to people about Reki i have a sence of compassion&love towards it and other people.I have done a course in Indian Head Massage and am doing a Tai foot course next week but i feel more at home with Reiki.Also can i ask you is it ok to see spirits when i am giving Reiki?

The one major thing your forgetting here is that YOU ARE THE LIGHT. There is no separation between you and God- Great Spirit, the Tao, whatever you choose to call the Light that is All...
When you hold this in your body/mind your fears that draw such experiences to you will fade. Even if you find yourself in fear, just committ to remembering the truth.. I Am the Light.. There is nothing stronger than, The Light.

Nothing real can be threatend.. and Only Love exists.

We learned right away to fill our space with our own energy. I did not know what this meant, but it worked anyway. I never knew how I did this, it just did itself with the thought.

Very simply, Yes. It is Ok to see spirits when you work as long as they are welcome and do not interfere in the session. If they do simply ask them to leave or help.

Firekeepere Thank you for your sound advice i certainly know when its my active mind or actual spirit but i dont think my friend does,and i think listening to other like minded people telling stories about maybe in the active mind kind of ones they scare her.If we succeed in opening out Holistic place i will make sure we prptect ourselves!

I'd not count on her being attuned helping her lose her fear right away. :}

I'm still dealing with it and its been a number of years! There are things that are deeply ingrained, and though gone most of the time, I do get the heevie jeebies sometimes. Like after watching a particularly scary movie, or listening to some fear speak about a very dark experience someone I'm talking with are having, and then being around them if they say it wasn't taken care of.

Its as if I catch the vibration.. Or I should say I attune to the energy- Or as I believe, the unhealed part of me starts vibrating to get my attention that is a like energy to that which they are vibrating.
Get it?
Like attracts like. My only solution then is to go into meditation and send healing to whatever dark energy I'm afraid of. Remember you cannot heal something you will not hold. :}}
