Dear Friends,
I expect you haven't noticed, but I have changed my end greeting from "Blessings" to "Best wishes". That's because in terms of energy work (which I believe prayer to be), and the possiblity one might be offended if they don't believe in God, I was wondering if permission should be requested to silently say "God bless you" to someone. I'm real tired right now, and not sure if I'm making any sense, but it is a question that's been on my mind.
Best wishes,
Roxy

My Dear Ms. Roxanne,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- to say 'god bless' is a request
- the answer could be no, yes, or I need to consider it
>:-}}
- permission is about the direct action (connection) of the practitioner and the recipient
- no 'middlemen or middlewomen'
>:-}}
- hope this helps

All Blessings,

Ms. Roxanne,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- 'small letters' do not necessarily mean small words
>:-}}
- the converse might be said about 'caps'

Hello Roxy,
Surely an adherent of any belief system can wish "blessings" upon another person and those "blessings" need not necessarily be in a spiritual sense - for example, the blessing of children, the blessing of good health.
I do not believe that anyone should be offended by a follower of any belief system wishing blessings upon them - I certainly wouldn't.
Having said that, it is very much a 'play it by ear" scenario because we do have to consider the unpredictable nature of humanity here - I can think of a few people I would not say "Dominus vobiscum" to !!!
In the end, you must trust to your instincts and if you feel it appropriate to wish "blessings" on someone either verbally or mentally, go ahead and do it.
So, I hope you're feeling a bit better and that this helps a little.
Slan go foille agus beannacht leat.
Brian

Hi dude, hope your feeling better. Sometimes I feel that when I say something like, Nameste, or God bless, I'm being pendantic when I do. It would be like me saying Goddess bless. lol. You could say rock on, or something. What you say doesn't really matter, it's just formulaic. It's what's in your heart that's the key. I suppose if you say something with a smile in your heart on your face and in your eyes then it's okay, then let it go. Not so easy I know.
Shake your booty,
be love.

Dear Jaguar,
Actually, you did say "Rock On" in your post. Look back. And BTW, I'm not a dude, I'm a dudette.
Rock On!
