Namaste,
There is a school of thought that the more spiritual you are, the easier it is to being financially rich. Any opionions on that or tips from anyone on financial freedom. What about spiritual people (so-called) who are always saying they have not enough funds.

Prosperity,
That sort of stuff (there's a name for it --- can't remember it right now) makes my a** (in deference to those of tender sensibilities) ache.

Namaste Prosperity.
I feel that spiritualism has nothing to do with money. I have always been spiritual [saying so is ego] but never had big money, have just enough, but again where is the limit? I have seen some rich people say we dont have enough money. So it becomes individual preception. But one thing has been clear with my experience, the more you let go of money, the more freedom you get. Less worries!

Hi,
So, is Bill Gates a spiritual person? I have never met him so haven't a clue. But he certainly has a lot of money (and donates a lot to charity and other 'good works' as I hear it). So, does this boost his spirituality? Who is qualified to say? But, I imagine that some pains-in-the butts might simply say he's getting a tax write-off.
lol
Cheers,
RC

Financial worries are supposed to be linked to the base chakra. If that is in balance then we "feel" like we have what we need for all that we need - apparently!

roxylady,
Hi,
Samsaric attributes of the Muladhara chakra are patience and greed. Money may not be the only possible referent here.

Dear RC,
Yes I see what you mean as I read that Warren Buffett gave Bill Gate's foundation a mere $31 billion in July. And then there's the richest families like the Rothchilds who supposedly financed Hitler. Oi vey. thanks for making that point.

Dear Roxy,
Thank you for that information. Support is I suppose related to money. I personally do not understand the chakra system too well.

Dear RC,
Is that the root chakra? I also read that the root chakra imbalance was due to being sexually abused or molested which could make one inclined to be greedy for love, money, whatever. Feeling ripped off maybe?
thanks,

Dear Alamelu,
Well greed has certainly been mentioned. Philantrophy does have to do with letting go. thanks for your post.

prosperity,
Hi,
Imbalance in any chakra is not automatically attributable to some sort of trauma in this life. People develop sexually in different ways and not always in balance even though they have not been molested or somesuch. We cannot blame others for (all) our imbalances. Our Karma and the choices we make affect the development of all the chakras.
The Muladhara has to do wih supportive foundation for all the other chakras and is home to our Kundalini energy. If we learn or perceive that money is the most important 'foundation' for our well-being then one may become 'obsessed' with money just as one may become 'obsessed' with love or sex if these are perceived as overly vital.
Habitual attachements (and aversions) are what develop from perceptions of the world (and our illusions about it). Habitual ways of behaving and coping arise from these attachments and aversins and contribute mightily to the Karma we manifest from lifetime to lifetime.
So, anything one becomes 'greedy for' can be attributeable to Muladhara chakra difficulties.
But, the Muladhara also has the balancing attributes of patience, the most basic probably being the human maturation process where sexual reproduction (procreation) must be 'patient' until the organism is sexually mature enough (which is not the same as psychologically and emotionally mature enough) to sire, bear, and parent offspring. Procreation, of course, being a prime attribute of the Swadhisthana chakra. So, I would say there is something to be learned about 'patience' from the rather lengthy maturation process that has evolved in humans.
:)
Cheers,
RC

Hi Perhaps it has to do with abundance not wealth....and ones awareness of what you have and so feeling abundant rather than constantly needing more to feel secure, all to do with finding your place in the universe and being secure there. I'm not explaining very well but I'm dealing with this myself at the mo. There is a good book, Reiki and Abundance by Paula Horan which has started me thinking about it all.
