Greetings to all,
I have let go of a foster child to what I hope is a good home. The foster parent said she was open to visits etc. yet after my foster child was let go to her, she now is very paranoid and wants only supervised visits where she has to be there with the child and a visit occured 4 weeks later after many calls. My former foster child calls her new foster mom, Mom already. If anyone has any experience with this type of situation or has any suggestions, please let me know as this seems like a red flag and wonder if bringing this up to the Judge would cause problems. I still have her brother who does not want to spend the weekend alone with this new foster mom to his sister which seems to be the only way this woman wants it. She doesn't seem to get it I've had this child for 1 1/2 years. I just want to make sure she likes her new home and have not been able to talk to her.

My experience has been from the standpoint of the social worker. Do you have one in this case? That is the person who is the go between. Everyone can usually rely on the social worker.

Dear Finality,
Are you serious? Maybe you are or were a good social worker but the one I've got is unethical and dishonest. She came to do a home visit with me but has yet to do one to check on my former foster child because her new foster mom said no. Also the therapist wanted to schedule a visit with my former foster child with the new foster mom and this women wouldn't even allow the therapist to do a one on one session with the child. They just want to make it look good for the courts. I'm disgusted with the whole process.
