Dear Friends,

I've been wondering what third eye vision is like. Are you able to see things through your regular eyes that other people can't?

I've wondered when people say they see their guides or they see people who've passed on during Reiki treatments, what that seeing actually consists of.

- some would say third eye is largely one's "intuition"

- intuition, of course, having many degrees of subtlety

- this is why accepting the idea that we each have a complex aura and being able to 'see' that aura are quite different

- and, perhaps that is why those who are heavily 'concrete' and grounded or just plain 'dense' or reject the notion of intuiition have been termed "third eye blind"

- we do not see anything with our dense, physical eyes that does not exist within the range of those sensory organs and the registry that goes on in the occipital lobes (and elsewhere in the brain)

- thus, one 'test', so to speak, one can try as one develops would be to 'see' or sense someone else's aura while having one's own eyes closed or to do so from distance (out of the physical presence of the other Being)

- in ascertaining such work it is, of course, handy if the 'subject' is at least somewhat aware of him\herself, energy-wise, and can provide some feedback

I remember when I did all those things FK described while learning. It seems a matter of "catching on" to it.

Now, I keep my eyes closed, and see lights which I have learned to identify, including reiki.

With eyes open, I see my own aura when looking in the mirror. I see my guides as lights that are positioned and stay in a certain position around me and appear as a part of my aura but they are not me.

Others I have seen have been a hodge-podge memory. that is, I seldom pay any mind to those things now. I recall when a certain young leader (in an Inner Peace Movement retreat) standing before us and all the time he was speaking a man (as a dark shadow but the shape of a man) stood at his right shoulder, that is, just behind him. I asked the young man about this. He grinned and said he suspected it was his father who is curious about all these things he is doing these days.

Each occasion has been individual, that is, not common to any other.

The training i had was in Inner Peace Movement. We experienced some of our other lifetimes.

Once you get the hang of this, it is simple. We have been trained from childhood not to see.

It answers my question at least. Perhaps I should have worded it "seeing that which usually can't be seen by normal vision".

I think, I have had the third eye vision a few times, after meditation. I am not sure if it can be third eye vision, because I had closed my eyes but I could see a very clear picture of my spirit guide once, just like you see with normal eyes, many times I have seen the burning lamp that I keep near my God. It is so real, I dont feel I have closed my eyes.

When I send energy out through my third eye, what I see coming back is often sort of like an MRI (but not as colorful) superimposed over normal sight. I don't know how closely that relates to what you were asking, but there it is anyway.

Sometimes I see auras. usually it is easier if they are sitting in front of a white or light coloured wall. I see it as colours around the people.

Also when I have my eyes closed and am very relaxed I get visions. They are usually accompanied by a sort of light buzzing feeling in either my third eye or some other part of my body. They can be anything. They are usually black and white and just like a silent movie. people doing things, places, houses, animals, anything. I don't often know what they mean but sometimes you can guess the significance. like it's symbolic. The animals are the easiest ones to work out because I just look them up in my animal dictionary.

Sometimes I get full-colour flashes of peoples faces but they are rarely people I recognize and they only last a fraction of a second.

Also when I have my eyes closed I can sometimes the the room I'm in in outline. And I can see things that are in the room that I can't see with my normal vision when I open my eyes.

One time I was at my sister's flat and it was an old converted victorian house and I could see how the room had been altered and partitioned and I could see all the old furniture in it and a man in victorian dress standinging at the fireplace.

- did you have any way to validate that you had seen the room as it had once been (olde photo, etc)?? If so, and your vision was accurate, then clairvoyance for the past is a likelihood here (neat stuff)

- a bit like geomancy, etc, only for places

Hello Roxy,
For me, I'd almost say the experience is like seeing from the back of my head. Not a forward feeling like if I were seeing you in front of me someone standing there.

Like when I see AA Michael, Its more like this background seeing and then its superimposed over the area completely. When I'm looking at the person ( if there is one associated with the seeing) all I can see is wings around them.
If I'm doubtful then I allow myself to get into the feeling mode so I can feel the angels presence.. The room just feels fuller with presence and the pervading feeling is love, love love.

Last year when I was at a pow wow, there was an elder who was sick and the white buffalo came in and gave me a message for him. I argued within myself that I was even seeing this buffalo until finally, exasperated, I felt as if he were nose to nose with me saying, "tell him healing is here".. All I could see was that buffalo.

Thank goodness our allies have patience. :}

On the other hand, a dear friend of mine sees spirits as if they are truly standing right there. She resonates strongly with the angels so when she sees them its in full life capacity. I sure wish I saw like that. I'd love to see more than wings when I see the angels.. Even feeling them and their radiating love to me isn't quite so cool as seeing their magnficience live..

if you want to see with the third eye, either you try to preceive though eyes closed and the centre part between the eyebrows. you will initially see a ball of white light, or a flame maybe fluttering of a curtain in the breeze aso.

you can alternately try to see using periphral vision. with your eyes open, try to concentrate atop your head in front of the mirror. initially, you will see a halo of white milky haze going upwards in a funnel form. slowly and with regular practise, you will be able to see the colours/ guides /angels etc with eyes open.

as an example, click against my name and see my photos. i managed to catch an om above my head in my mobile and an angel on the side. there is also one photo of colours and a purple chakra above the head. all these i caught by chance.
