Dear Mr. Firekeeper,

What's your recipe again for nutmeg tea? And, yes, I'll remember not to drink the grounds.

Blessings,
Ms. Roxy

Ms. Roxanne,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- maximum if one level teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg - be sure it is only a teaspoon

- one cup of boiling water

- combine and cover the cup

- allow nutmeg to steep until the predominance of the gratings are on the bottom of the cup

- as this is a very bitter tea, my preference is to soften it with a bit of wildflower honey or turbinado sugar (the now soggy grounds will re-settle to the bottom fairly rapidly if you stir in some sweetner)

- drink (all but the grounds) - any very fine nutmeg particles that have not settled after 5 minutes are not to be concerned about - they may ingested - if a little of the sediment is disturbed as you sip that little bit may be ingested as well

- hope this eases your stomach and nerves, and facilitates sleep

- I would not go driving around after a full strength cup - best about 1\2 an hour before one wants to sleep

- a full strength cup may have you feeling a tad 'groggy' in the morning, at least at first

- if you want milder effects that do not leave one unsafe for driving, etc, try just about 1\4 teaspoon of nutmeg to start

- have a happy Thanksgiving
