The Reiki Cafe 

I don't know how many of you have followed this story, I have and right now I feel very sad. I 'm sorry, I can't properly express myself right now...I didn't know this man but what was done to him is absolutely horrendous.

Yes, I know all about karma and stuff but it's still hard to accept that we live in a world where people can be so ruthless to one another.

I also feel bad I didn't give him any Reiki during the last few days of his life. I should have, there is no excuse for it.

It is a very upsetting incident. No, karma is no excuse for it. It's apalling what we humans do to one another, both on the individual level, and as societies.

Hi,

How about the 6 Sunni who were burned alive in Iraq on Friday? Perhaps the fact that this fellow got so much individual attention in the press makes it easier to identify with him (he has a face, afterall) and the brutality of it all?? And, I am not sure he would have given permission for Reiki.

Yes, of course it's easier to identify with him because of the media attention. And yes, of course atrocities happen everyday everywhere. But it's still extremely sad.

With regards to him not granting permission for Reiki, I will have to disagree. I got the feeling(quite strongly too) that he wanted to survive therefore he would have welcomed it I believe.

As for me, yes, I think I need Reiki right now as well.

P.S: This man left a wife and a son behind. Maybe we(whoever feels drawn to it) can send Reiki to them.

I know any number of people who would want to survive a serious illness, etc but who would not want Reiki. So, I would not send it without their direct permission. I will send some energy your way as you have given your permssion.

- as a spy for the KGB (or other Russian agencies) there is no telling what sort of nasty behaviors were in his repertoire and history

- nevertheless, a most unhappy way to go
