Hello friends,

Sort of a strange thing is happening to me. When I meditate or concentrate on sending distance Reiki, when I end and open my eyes, my vision is blurry. Does anyone know why this happens? The rest of the time my vision is fine.

- so, you do not notice the same thing when you wake up after a nap or a night's sleep??

- and, I do not interpret "blurry" as double vision (diplopia) which is a significant neuorological symptom

Dear Firekeeper,

Yes, I do have the same thing happen when I wake up from a night's sleep. I suppose I should see an eye doctor, but why does it happen just at those times?

- I take it that these symptoms are of recent arrival?

- but, I do not know why you experience the brief discontinuity in your normal vision at these times

- though a major commonality of the three times you cite seems to be 'relaxation' - so perhaps some relaxation of the muscles associated with keeping the eyes aligned (if you have true diplopea) or perhaps an alteration in blood flow to some portion of the optic network

- perhaps some variaton in your blood pressure??

- or there might be some brief interaction between the more relaxed states and some medications you may be taking?

- any new meds or altered doseages lately??

- don't speculate - see a professional about it

I usually keep my hands over my eyes when being reiki as you describe. My eyes would take a while to focus but be fine.

When I actually had double vision, that is my eyes did not focus and each eye gave me what it saw, The doctor said they were simply too tired to focus. (I had been using them daily for the whole day).
