Otoharo!

I like the wish for the joys. I am finishing up some music written in the beginning that are trying my patience. But then, It is mine and if it is trash that is where is will end! So tuning into the joys of the season is very helpful today. And I am still grinning to myself on the prospect of what tomorrow brings.

Well, the sun came up today. Now we just have to watch and see whether it goes down to know whether today marks the big shift. I think I am likely the only human being taking notice of this!

Finality, could you elaborate please? I 'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say "whether it goes down". Is there any reason why the sun would not go down today..?

Otoharo!

I ahve been sharing about the big shift for years and years. When it does come, there will be three days that the earth stands still. Then it begins to spin again in the opposite direction. It will happen at a winter solstice by or before 2012. xaris said they had discovered that the Mayans were wrong by seven years. But it did not happen last year. I am waiting to see whether it happens this year. As I say, I am likely the only woman all dressed up to honor solstice one way or another.

And so the sun rose and the sun set. No big shift this year.

That would be a major suspension of the laws of physics -- currently the Earth spins at a thousand miles per hour. Quite a force would have to be applied to slow it to zero!

I suppose, if the solar system passed through a wrinkle in the space-time fabric, or through a zone where physical laws were suspended...such as at the event horizon of a black hole...

Since I live a hundred feet in elevation above the Atlantic, if the spinning stopped, first the ocean would slosh into Europe's western coastline, then it would slosh back over the eastern coastline of the Americas, over my apartment. So, if the spinning stops, been nice chatting with you all!

Aronaya

Aronaya, this is my third try to reply. I push some button that removes the whole thing. That has happened twice.

There are three cycles that more or less coincide. the 2,000 year cycle of moving into the age of aquarius. The 26,000 year cycle of the anniversary of earth becoming a planet. and the 2,600,000 year cycle which seems to be what we call the big shift.

Yes, I thought there would be, herculean consequences should the earth stop. And, the earth resuming its spinning, but in the opposite direction...?

And, I remember hearing that the Mayan calendar, I think..., stopped at year 2012.

Interesting.

Thanks for the info!

I've always been skeptical and open-minded at the same time -- as the years go by and I experience things that I would have called improbable magic when I was younger, I become more and more open to possibilities.

So I don't rule anything out, even while I probe for material evidence.

Thanks again and
Blessings,
Aronaya

Since I dressed to honor Solstice, I have continued to dress for Christmas. It feels so good wearing all the things I made for myself last year. Packages from my kids ly in front of me, awaiting the time of opening!

greetings to all!

Otoharo!

I made two salads for tomorrow that are traditional with my family, a fruit salad, and an avocado salad. I intended to make the traditional german salad of my family, but forgot to buy a couple of ingredients. I find these simple traditional items a welcome way to honor the season for me, sitting here alone in my house in the woods. I stopped eating meat many years ago. so all that is left is salad. that's ok with me. (We also have a traditional german potato salad, but I made creamed potatoes this week which are still going strong. Doesn't take much.

Now that I know that Jesus was born in August, and Urantia readers celebrate then, solstice is all that is left to celebrate at this time. And that suits me fine. It is very traditional; traditions I enjoy honoring still. After the shift, traditions will likely all fall away as a part of the old world.
