In reverence for the birth of the Christ Child, and the principle of forgiveness that blessed event represents.
I grew up loving Christmas carols and the peace on Earth they promised. Today, I say, blessings to people of all beliefs during their sacred times and seasons. The deeper my love for the Child I learned of when I was a child, the more welcoming I am of traditions around the world.
It is not conflict, but rather honoring the truth, that the deeper one goes into one's own tradition of faith, the greater one's respect for the faiths of others.
If we try to destroy or mistrust or disrespect another's faith, it is the same as destroying, mistrusting and disrespecting our own faith.
Maybe this is why I don't belong to a church of any kind -- so that no one can lead me against another church. Standing apart, I must love even, especially, those whom I see as intolerant of my unique faith. I have been Christian, Taoist, Buddhist, and now just simply exploring within; all these are labels for systems of thought that point towards, but do not stand in place of, the truth of who I am.
Thank you, Jesus!
Blessings,
Aronaya
