The Reiki Cafe 

Something very strange is happening to me. I've had a really rough couple of weeks, lots of ups and downs. A few people really hurt me, emotionally ,and I really never saw it coming from one of them.

I've been praying every morning for help with releasing resentment and unforgiveness and today I cleaned out my bedroom, and got rid of EVERYTHING that I didn't need anymore, and prayed that this act be seen as symbolic of
getting rid of my emotional baggage.

Then, tonight as I was serving my family dinner I experienced this really weird feeling. It's like an inner quiet, not really a hole or a void although it feels kinda'
like that only it's filled a peaceful calm.

Am I finally learning to realease resentment and unforgiveness, is this peace filled place where the resentment and unforgiveness resided ?

I never experienced anything like this before, it's an
awesome feeling. Any thoughts??

Yes, I would say that act really could clear you out of your bad feelings.

A ritual (such as cleaning out your old stuff) to focus intention, combined with the energy of prayer, can bring real results. I would suggest that you focus some prayer on filling the space you emptied with positive emotions and outlooks.

Emotional and spiritual healing can take many forms.

Very, very interesting. You cleaned out stuff that no longer serves you. You made room for what's on the horizon for you. Seems like one can't receive what's next until one makes room for it...by getting rid of. or releasing what no longer serves. That takes some kind of courage, I think...and trust too.

It's a cleansing too.

I congratulate you on clearing away what no longer serves and, in so doing, allowing room for what's coming to you.
There's some kind of parable applicable here, I think....
Maybe something about wineskins.... It's some kind of spiritual universal law....

As you said, I think it's symbolic, too. Perhaps, as you physically cleaned, you cleaned out stuff in consciousness, that no longer serves, as well.

A lesson for me here, to be sure! Thank you for sharing your experience.
