I'm interested to know why some folks de-activate their profile so that no-one can read it? Just interested.

And...how are they able to do this?? I can't find any facility to do this! Or am I just being dumb??

In the My Info section, there is a 'Profile Info' edit link. This allows you to update your profile information. One of the options is a Privacy setting that you can set for:

Allow only registered users to view your profile,
Allow anyone to view your profile
Allow no one to view your profile

The last option results in the 'Profile turned off' message.

As to why people choose it is because some people don't want to have a profile visible. I think some people also
choose this option by accident (If you choose this, you can
still view your own profile and I think some people turn their profile off without realizing it because they can still see it, even though other people can't).

I have noticed though, Mike, that I've been receiving more spam directed to "healer", "worshipper", etc.....would it be possible for folks to use our address in just this way? I certainly don't blame anybody or anything, was just curious. Maybe, that's why some folk have taken their profile off....
