I was wondering the same thing. How are you, Mr. Firekeeper?
I hope you're all right.

hello ponderings and roxy,
The keeper of the flame is on holiday at the moment over here. He is due to come and stay with us for a couple of days on Monday 17th.
Don't worry, we will take good care of Mrs Firekeeper and Himself - I have multiplied my stocks of the amber nectar in anticipation.
Thanks for your concern.
Slan go foille agus beannacht leat
Brian

hello ponderings,
Aye, a good party goes down well. Unfortunately they will only be with us a couple of days, but we have a fairly full itinerary planned with a bit of time for chillin' of course.
Amber nectar = uisge beatha = whiskey (all good stuff, purely for sampling and medicinal purposes, you understand)
Bagl.
Slan go foille agus beannacht leat = Bye for now and Blessings on you.
Brian

bagl = bust a gut laughing.

I think they were reffering to Irish Whiskey. Jamison, Tullermordew (sp?), the coveted Redbreast and the like.

We think Mr. and Mrs. Firekeeper enjoyed their stay. They have left now for a couple of days in London and will let us know when they arrive safely.

Don't think I'd better take you up on the offer of being Simpsonized _ I would probably end up looking like Homer - Doh!!!!!!
Bagl.
Agree with you on the whiskey though - you should have got back in the saddle after the last experience.

Hi Michael,
Yes indeed. Whiskey or whisky, as long as it is good.
We tried to work our way through a bottle of 21 yr old single malt from the Gaelic Whisky Company , Poit Dubh, but there is still some left for you if you come over here!!
Bagl.
Slan go foille,
Brian.

thak you, p
haven't sampled Irish mist but isn't that a liquer?
Jameson is nice. black bush is the best. Southern comfort if you want to indulge. paddys if you just want to get sloshed.
A good whiskey should be sampled and indulged rather than just for the sake of drowning the sorrows. but is good for that as well.
Although I don't speak french, I kinda got the gist of what was being said. lol.
