Hi.
How does one distinguish between what one knows and what one believes?
:)

Dear RC,
I know when it's time to get up, when it's daylight, when the lights are on, when it gets dark; when I'm hungry; the temperature etc....In True Reality You and I already know everything about everything so being able to "not know" in it's own way is a blessing and is most likely a state of confusion that I will be the first to admit to.
Why would a higher level being, not of this world have to work through a human on this earth plane, especially if he's a 7th day Adventist and the brother of the rich, powerful and connected corn flake king, (the Kelloggs) to accomplish their indoctrination. Do ya think "they" may have an ulterior motive? hELLLOO Enablers R-US

Otoharo!
I could just feel you asking this exact question! We spent probably a coule of years learning this. I could not really learn it because I could not get out of my head and did not know really what they were all talking about. Finally as I began to discern somewhat the difference from my intellect, the head, and something other than that which eventually I came to tell was my knowing. That was the times that Xaris had us using our hands to assist us putting our hands on the forehead for the intellect and putting our hands on our chest area as where knowing is. That was when we were learning to dicern that feelings, knowings, mind, and being, was not in the head but in this area where we put our hands on our chest area. (This is not actually in the body but in the field of energy somewhat behind the body. The New Revelations helps to explain that.)
Mind, for instance is an ability to access universal mind. Not done in the head at all. Believeing is in the head.

Dear Finality,
You could be right however the pineal gland is in the head so to discern something could also be brought to light in the 3rd eye area. The other area would be the gut area and the heart area is to open up and again it's interesting that you are being asked to open up to these teachings without first using discernment.

prosperity,
Hi.
Daylight will occur whether you get up or not. Perhaps you only believe you must get up? Do you go to bed when it is no longer daylight or do you believe you might stay up a little longer and watch the Simpsons. lol
Knowledge is transient; ever-changing. And, the same piece of knowledge is not likely universally accepted. Someone, somewhere 'knows' differently.
So, again, how is that what you know is not simply a belief? I mean, someone elses knowledge may differ from what you think you know. :)
The transience of all knowledge makes it no more than belief. And, the transience of our perceptions means all is Illusion.
;)
Cheers

Dear RC.
Yes but I know how to move my muscles to get up, to walk without falling over; to know how to use my hands; to feel thirst to get a drink of water. I didn't have to have some satellite transmission teaching me to first hold my chest to see if it's truth or not. We all know so much that for some who have experiences beyond the norm may not know how to integrate it into daily life without help and are often labled insane so that is why I say it is a blesssing on some level to "not Know" as well as it is for some to be led like sheep down the road to being possessed and controlled. I did take a Zen class and words are just that and we give them all the meaning they have as taught in CIM. There are different intelligences and Einstein taught to question everything especially authority.
thanks for your post but it's turning into a Urantia subject when I started talking about housework and cancer and mentioned that in so many words I'm skeptical of immunizations to give to young pre adolescents. Then Finality posts that I might want to read Urantia without any other comment like it's some secretive thing to try to get me to check it out. I know that trick.
Peace,
Prosperity

Otoharo!
Prosperity, I was responding to your talk about the affairs of Africa. One of the papers in Urantia brings up this same aubject. that is all I meant by what i said.
You and I are using different languages, actually. what you describe about the things your body knows hoe to do without your even taking note of it most of the time we do not call "knowing". As for Zen, I do not know that language at all.
