Otoharo!

I always hate to open a new topic. But I could not find an appropriate place to add my small say.

I have been writing music since 2000 with a few songs scattered through out my earlier life. All I had done usually was jot down the melody on msnuscript paper. Never did I write it up as a completed sheet of music including accompaniment. Well, this week, I spent redoing all the 1,080 pieces I have written. Mind you, they are simple songs. But it was tedious work. It takes 16 notebooks to house them all. they are devided by time signature, and of course in numerical order.

each time, I write something new, I have to check whether it is already done.

I check in here from time to time to see who all are around and read everything. Good to check in with old and new friends.

Dear finality,

Stop hating on opening a new topic I say. That's like denying the wee whimsical chick-a-dees a bit of leftover crumb. : (

Your creative endevour sounds wonderful; glad to hear it. ; )

Namaste,
Michael

Finality,

Namaste :)

I have always greatly admired those souls who can write music, poetry or create art. All those things that speak from one soul to another :)

Gentle Blessings
Helen

And I for one love new threads....new topics. Do we find some of your songs in the Writers Bookshelf, finality??? Are you going to publish or attempt to have someone sing them? Perhaps, you sing or perform yourself? That's a lot of music and words, girl....I admire the creativity of bringing it all together.

I enjoy the bringing it all together, yes! I play at the Farmer's market and have tapes available for those who wish to purchase some of it. In the early days, I played and sang at the farmer's market in the little town of Skamacawa in the next county, where I was living at the time. The early ones nearly all had words. Now most are instrumentals. In my long history, I have always been a musician of one sort or another. Usually the way I am aware of music coming in, I will happen to notice that I am mentally singing. I go pick that out and the process begins.

Please forgive me, finality, for now, I do remember you mentioning the market. Thanks for reminding me, though, I loved reading your words. Such wonder & magic making music.
