I have heard that another cure for talking to ones self is to have a snipe hunt. Seems forever since we got one together!

Maybe talk about something interesting, also.

Actually, I enjoy talking to myself! Happens a lot. I have a very enlightened audience when that happens...

I too look forward to the chat room being operational. I have recently visited general chat rooms and found them rather "horrific". Look forward to chatting with like minded people who are warm and non-judgemental - and positive thinkers.

Hi folks

I've been there a few times - only once has there been someone else there - however .....

we chatted for a while - which was really nice. I told her about another site I liked, she joined that and through exchaging emails there, passed my name on to another person who was interested in receiving distant reiki.

We've been working on stuff together for almost a month then guess what - he said 'would you attune me to reiki 1 on Saturday?' It has been a huge learning experience for us both and there's a very strong connection between us - like we've both been waiting for this. I attuned him distantly - my first time - and it was awesome. This part of our journey is not finished yet - more to learn, more to teach - very exciting.

So you never know what'll happen when you DO find someone in the chat room - LOL.

Maybe see you in there one day (I just tried and couldn't log on!!)

Not to keep you in the dark any longer.

I don't know if it is an American thing...Several people in the UK joined in before for a really good time.

A snipe hunt is a party-type of hunt for a species of bird who is somewhat shy but tends to do as it is requested..

We go into the woods with a gunny sack and a flashlight, hide behind a tree and call them... here snipe, here snipe. If one is close enough to hear the call, they come running and jump into the sack. They are so lovely to sacrifice themselves like that, and they are most delicious.

When enough snipe are caught in this fashion, all of us head back to the party site, where everyone has brought their favorite kind of food to share with the main dish.

There is dancing, and drums and rattles and flutes and whatever else and a grand time is had by all! :o}}

Of course it is all done in a virtual fashion, and everyone is invited, so please join in!

There are still some problems with the chat room. Some seem to be able to log on, others not - I have just tried again without success. Perhaps when it is up and working properly a note can be posted on the message board?

Hello again,

This brings to mind a French friend who visited me in England. We visited the lake to feed the wild ducks some bread. He was simply amazed. In his part of France (the south -- though admittedly he is an aristo, and very traditional in his views, proclaimed in a macho voice from the ramparts of an eleventh-century chateau!) they shoot anything that moves overhead, and despise as effeminate any man who feels sorry for our winged fellow-creatures. When you have a chance, send some reiki to the poor, benighted birds of France. That goes for the snipe too, while you're at it.

Well, I tried to sneak into the chat room tonight for the sole purpose of hearing you talk to yourself...BAGL....but I couldnt get in...the door must be locked...is there a secret code word or something? ( Psst, I tried "snipes" but it didnt work).

I appreciate your efforts, especially since I am aware your computer is functioning less than perfectly! I have had a few visits there, and the times I was allowed in, I was talking to myself. I even went in when 6 folks were listed as on the board. Not a soul but me and the dust bunnies....not a snipe in site!
