Hi All:
Firsta off I didnt know which board this message would be appropiate to post so I took a guess at this one ..because I didnt want to post it on the Reiki board and have other tell me that this didnt belong here.....
Well here goes: I did alittle experiment( for about 30 minutes I laid there) with the crystal/stones I had......which goes as following: I placed
a clear quartz in my left hand
a Hematite in my right hand...
a Leopardskin jasper on my third eye...
a Sodalite on my throat chakra...
a Malachite( I think thats what it is)on my heart chakra..
a Tigers eye on my solar pleuxus....
and a amethyst on my sacral chakra...
RESULTS: I experinced waves and waves of energy going from foot to crown....slight jerking at times....
My Question: to all those who use gems/crystal....was this a good thing to do and did I place the right stone at the right chakra and any other feedback appreciated...

in behavior therapy, this technique - doing all at once - is called flooding.

I see no need to make energy work an Xtreme sport. :-}}

Flooding is not a favorite of mine but sometimes useful in phobias.

there are various stones, gems, crystals that may be used for each chakra.

if you check the web, you will find more than enough.

I rarely use crystals - and then only citrine or pure black obsidian sphere.

I use crystals frequently. It is really important to NOT over-do at the beginning.

Crystals, all of them, have their own energy.

Each crystal will multiply the energy of the crystal(s) nearest it.

And the next one will mutiply the next.

And so on.

In other words, they tend to muliply exponintially (sp) continually.

SO, If you make a grid of crystals, place yourself and a crystal in the middle, you magnify XXXXXXXXX's infinitly.

In case you are wondering, NO this is NOT scientific in any way! I just know that it is.

Start small, and work your way up. The size of the crystal is not always a good indication of how much energy it carries.

Having the crystal clear and programed, is essential.

I also did the grid thing to myself (some time ago) per one of Diane Steins books, and had some really wierd dreams for several days after. It was interesting, but I don't make a practice of it. ;o)

By the way, you put them where it feels 'right' to you. You might just try the tiger eye on your third eye, I am told that if you wear a tiger eye, people have trouble lying to you...

Thanks for that wonderful information....I certainly will remember and use it as needed....seeking others more experinced that use crystal with Reiki to LEARN from....any other advice would be greatly accepted or recommended books to learn from also apprecited....

You always seem to make me laugh. ;oP

I think that crystals CAN be reprogramed. At the same time I think that certain crystals will tell YOU what they are to be used for. Healing, grids, etc.

I had not thought of it as 'hacking' however, that sounds pretty brutal. (poor crystal :o{{ )

How about simply cleansed and re-programed?

For instance with a new owner.

- Should an unauthorized "hacker" try to re-program they will be jolted with an immediate and insatiable urge for spam - an urge such that they must stop what they are doing and......well, it is a little ugly to think what comes next.

Actually, it is somewhat in the same league as what I was thinking about, which involved some involuntary rap music into earphones for at least 12 hours. :oPPP

I think crystals are pretty much already programed for the activity, just not necessarily the person using it. It might not be so much programing the crystal, as programing ourselves to use it in the proper (for it) manner.

My obsidian ball (small) seems to really dislike being used by other people, for instance. Loaned it out once (long ago) and it was very distant for weeks. Or maybe it had just been programed to her, and had to be re-programed. what do you think?

My experience with crystals is relatively limited - However, sometimes I am asked to check out a crystal, stone, etc before it is "adopted".

To my knowledge, and in my experience, only citrine (and another which I cannot think of right now) does not "store" or "collect" energy - therefore needs no cleansing.

All others need work before adopting or after use - in my estimation.

Obsidian is so wonderful for extraction work. I agree - if you have used it for yourself it will feel "different" vibrationally if it is used by another - obsidian balls seem that "sensitive" - not to be anthropomorphic, or anything like that.

Obsidion, or almost any normally dark stone needs frequent cleansing. When I find my rock book, I will look up and see if I can find any others that do not need cleansing. I think I remember it is angelite, or kyanite, but don't hold me to it.

I loaned this ball out ONCE. I didn't know any better back then. It wouldn't forgive me until I became more territorial about it. I have pretty good boundaries now!
Particularly with this ball. Now when I give a stone, I GIVE it. I don't do loans on any stone.

It does sound a little la-la, but I just go with it. :o}}

Anthropomorphic, isn't that giving emotions to inanimate objects? If so, I'll go along with that! Otherwise, how do we know that they want to go home with us?

I have a sphere, green lepoard jasper, that I bought over a year ago, because it came to my attention by having 'smoke' come out of it. Sitting on the shelf at the store.

It has not talked to me, and I have not been able to program it. I think it was just tired of being in the store. My feeling is that it is male. Jasper is usually difficult for me to program. I will probably give it away at some point unless it becomes more friendly. Onyx is easy, and seems to be very 'soft' in healing. Particularly the green, pink and grays. Almost like they put out a 'blanket' of soft energy for the person healing.

For most of the stones, if you have a good rain storm, I find that clears and charges them all at once! They do seem to like that energy!

Gotta go put my rocks out in the rain tonight! :o)

You know there is something quite appealing about a canine who is trying to smirk. Don't quite know how you pull it off... !!

And you say it ignores you?

Do you need to look "differently" for those protuberances?

Even if it is a girl sphere (a redundancy?) - it still might follow you anywhere.

Hiya :) As a rough guide, i often use the color of the crystal to correspond to the (traditional?) chakra color. Hope this helps, but it sounds like you sort of did it already :) I cleanse crystals by breathing on them, visualising purifying light around them as i do so, and program them in the same way, but concentrate on the instructions for the crystal as i breathe.

That is why it must be male. A female would be GRATEFUL to be out of that store in Underground Atlanta! this one is kinda stand-offish.....

Actually, I tried indifference. Didn't like it. Didn't work on the rock either. Couldn't fool it!!

Why do some people have trouble believing that rocks can talk, have gas, become resentful, etc...... Seems rather separatest, to me.... hhuummmmmmm......?

Hi Holly,
I also use crystals for myself and when I do Reiki healings.
I use a white stone in the left hand also to help bring in and magnify the possitive. The right hand holds a black stone to help pull out and ground the out take of neg. energy or blocks.
I have a question for you. How did you feel. It seems that some of the responses assumed you had an unpleasant experience. However, waves of energy and twitching may be a release of neg. blocks or charge of poss., perhaps I am wrong, but this is my question to you.
Also, if you feel it was too much to handle and you are not familar with using crystals, try their individual energies first. Therefore, you will really be able to appreciate their unique qualities and gifts. I would suggest using a grounding stone or crystal placed near or under the soles of your feet. (black stones, petrified wood, moss agates etc.)
