Interpret this dream

Dear friends,

I'm in this scene that looked like an old construction site that was unfinished. I was not there very long when, I turned to leave I suddenly fell down. When I got up, I noticed with shock and dismay that I was impaled from head to toe with pins. Some were bleeding to various degrees, others were not. I could feel them. Seeing some people a short distance away, I ambled over for help, slowly so as not to drive any in deeper. As I drew near, I could tell by their expressions they were too shocked to be of service. One guy ran away for help but I did not get the impression help was coming anytime soon. I began to pull out these ' T ' shaped pins one by one. A couple in my hands were so deep, I had to work the head of the pins back to the surface to get them out. Finally I got to the last one, a long one all the way thru my foot, as I pulled it out I gasped from what I perceived as a great energy release as opposed to pain. Relieved I looked around, the area around me was covered with hundreds of these pins. The end.

It should be noted that I have neutral feelings about needles, piercings, tattooing and movies written by Clive Barker.

arati,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

From a Jungian perspecticve it is not always a good idea to try and interpret single dreams - the method is to keep a dream diary - to try and ascertain threads among dreams -

- having said that??? try this out -

- the pins might reflect the (your) feeling (conscious or not) that all pain and trouble comes from the outside -

:-}}

- it might also be suggested that some of these pins (negative self-thought forms??)were of your own making as no-one else seemed able to help - or know what to do with them

>:-}}

- yet when you undertook the path to self-healing some results were forthcoming - seemingly positive as the pins were removed -

- and the energy release?

- Can you recall the nature of that energy??

Hope this helps,

Reiki alla round,

all blessings,

firekeeper

Dear Arati,

Dream interpretation is tricky & who can say what it is "right"??
My thoughts as I read your post were : construction site is a place to to build, remodel, deconstruct or tear down, etc....pinned or nailed by multiple issues, some deeper than others.....the need or desire to take of the situation yourself & not wait for others to help....some issues deeper than others & harder to get at....working them out resulted, not in what was expected but, in a release of energy....the one thing I would be willing to say as a "conclusion" is that it appears to indicate a healing process of some kind. Maintaining or keeping alive old issues or wounds involves a great deal of energy & it also takes alot of energy to keep old issues in their place when we dont want to see them.
I agree with Firekeeper that maintaining a journal is helpful.
Thanks for sharing...interesting dream..:)

P.S. Can we call you "Little Freddie" now?

Dear Firekeeper,

Thanks for your thoughtful reply.

You asked: - Can you recall the nature of that energy??

It was like a great Chi blockage being removed/released.

Dear Holobon,

Thanks for your thoughtful response.

....instead of "Little Freddie" how about "Cactus Jack"?
