Morning all,

For those interested in the rise of antibiotic resistant germs, there is a great book I just found, Herbal Antibiotics by Stephen Harrod Buhner. There are suggestions for herbal , spice & food sources for natural antibiotics as well as remedies you can make at home for colds, flu, etc.
If you dont know much about the rise of antibiotic resistant organisms, this is a great resource..small book & an easy read...and one handy reference.

- I have gotten numerous E-mails about one gel-cap or another to take daily so I won't contract anthrax.

I saw an article in pathways magazine recently by a gentlemen at Smile herb shop who has been growing herbs for many years. He speaks of using specific herbs for bringing Light into the Body.

He drank them as teas and tinctures. This sounded expensive and a bit confusing so I decided to improvise and experiment with my truth. All things are with us now, because were everywhere at once.

So, I have recently begun using a few herbs on the vibrational levels, etheric if you will. I call herbs into my awareness and ask for their blessings/healing.
I use my intention to heal with my faith in my self as worthy of bringing this abundance into my life.

Nettles
Lemon Balm
Enchinea
Plantian
(one other I can't remember, have to look at my list drat)

I have also begun saying a few affirmations:

My immune system is healthy and whole.
I am safe and protected in all ways.

I think that its important to turn the thoughts that we start to gather because of what we hear back into a positive; back into truth.
We only experience what we might perceive human suffering when we have lessons about ourselves to learn.
The lesson here is our truth, that we are always protected and safe from harm. Listening to love is your protection against human suffering.
Love is all there is. :}}

With all of this scare about Anthrax and with it getting closer to Winter and cold and flu season, it is probably a good idea to take good doses (1000~3000 mg per day) of a high quality, highly absorbable vitamin 'C'. I would also recommend a good quality multivitamin mineral and b-complex supplement. I am sure that is healthy on a very basic level. If you are really concerned, you can go to a healing arts pactitioner to determine the level of vitamins to take.

As for herbs, it is probably best to research them from a company that specializes in herbs such as Herbs Etc. Some herbs work for some whereas not for others. You also have to know that some herbs you can take everyday and others you can't.

In general, it is best not to take herbs for too long a period of time becasue their effectiveness becomes impaired. If you read the instructions for an herbal supplement from a good company, it should instruct where you should "pulse"--that is take the herb for a period of time then stop taking them for a period of time. It can be rather complicated.

I agree that a good positve attitude is also one of the best ways to stay healthy on top of eating right, managing stress, and taking vitamins.

Namaste...Actually, my post had nothing to do with anthrax & there is no reference to anthrax in this book that I can see...it was published long before anthrax became a household word. Discusses how overusage of antibiotis has lead to the rise of drug resistant microorganisms. We live in a culture that is quite comfortable swallowing antibiotics at the drop of a hat & we are paying the price for that.
The book is a good introduction to the historical (not hysterical) perspective of drug resistant infections....LOL

- although the life cycle of anthrax makes it rather unlikely to become resistent - at least so some experts suggest

- but I only mention anthrax because of the deluge of homeopathic stuff people are now selling as anti-microbial, etc - to prevent anthrax contamination

- using terror to make a profit??

Yes, there are alot of people making a profit off what has happenned & fanning fears...big difference between caution & the panic perpetrated by self interested commercialism ( darn, Beau will be hopping on that one, Im sure theres a big Gramma error there...HeHeHe)
These days I am careful what I say about the "A" word & so, of course I dont want to be associated with creating panic in anyone..it has a snowball effect....so forgive me if I over react & PANIC!!!!Help..Im been misquoted & run over by the stampede to the herbal shop!!!

All kidding aside, we overlook much in our natural environment that has healing properties & I support the WISE use of herbal remedies. (I stress wise because many consumers have no idea of what they are swallowing)
The sophisticated mind sometimes has difficulty with chewing on a plant when a convenient little techno pill is available...
By the way, best not to let folks know you have Cipro on your person, you might get mugged!!

Thanks so much for the great affirmations. I use them often in my daily struggle to gain control over my inner dialogue. I've been using herbs for years and have to admit the thought of bringing them into myself the way you are has never occurred sp? to me. This belief has been getting grounded into my reality for the past few months as I pondered the meaning of being everywhere at once, and present in all things.

I met a guy online whom I shared a great friendship, and we were always sending energy back and forth.
One day he told me an ingredient for a special cleansing using sunflowers. It involved crushing the flower down to pulp basically, in some river water. Then involved chanting some incantation at the full of the moon to the Goddess energy. * Laughs *
It was the middle of the winter!!!

I could see myself falling through the ice trying to get my self some 'living' water and shivered at the thought. Though I was willing to perservere to try something unique, God musta been smilin cause there wasn't a bunch of Sunflowers to be had anywhere in town. (Thank You Jesus!!!)
A while later, (few weeks) he asked if I"d gotten my stuff for my full moon ceremony yet, I had to tell him I hadn't.

As we spoke he said he was asking for a blessing for me and asked what did I see, he didn't specifiy to spirit what to send. I was amazed when it started raining sunflower petals all over me!
Spirit knew I had worked very hard to find those darn flowers despite the river, and were showering me so beautifully, it made my heart smile. :}}

I think they must have spoken, telling me that I don't need anything on the physical, only a belief in the vibration, and as usual, my respect in this as my own truth.

From this day, I started asking for the blessing of cleansing that evolved into a cleansing/ healing for auras.

Envision, a shower of this, pouring down from the heavens, cleansing and purifying...

What a great visual that gives me. and cleansin... hehehe
