Hello Friends,

Has anyone been having problems with the Badtrans or W32.Magistr. Viruses? I have had to remove many infected files & clean my system 3 times! I just got the Norton 2002 AntiVirus software. . . Thank God!

Please post answers if you have any information. Many thanks & perhaps some Reiki is in order for the vulnerable users out here!

Dear Deb,

Yes, I got it the day the warning went out but have finally got it deleted...now my computer is updated daily for new viruses. I think that when you buy a computer they should have a virus program already installed & not a weenie program either...

Yes, I had one also. I got it taken care of, but since than I have had several e-mails contaminated sent to me...again. So far so good.

We were very fortunate...my hubby had just updated our virus program and the next day I received three emails from unsuspecting people that were already hit with it. My hubby gave me the following two sites with info regarding it. Don't know if these help you or not....but good luck!

And now there's a new worm out too.....not sure of the name or implications. Its a hazardous time.....

Hi Deb,
I got it too and had to buy a new antivirus program.
Now there´s an alert out for another one called Goner that´s spreading rapidly and tries to destroy antivirus software – all that new stuff we´ve all installed!! It says “Hi” in the subject heading, and the message is something like “I saw this screensaver and immediately thought of you”... The virus is in the attachment, so hopefully it can be deleted, unopened.
