Hi everyone
just curious - has anyone got any interesting experiences when using pendulums for answering questions/help with decisions etc? I'd love to hear them.

Hi Sally,
Namaste.
I just purchased a pendulum yesterday to use to work with the chakras when doing Reiki.
The lady showed me how to use it and also how to get it to show me a yes and no answer.
I asked for protection and shielding and then asked my spirit guide to work with me...asked a few important questions regarding my Reiki path and got definate answers :)
I tried it out on my husband's chakras last night and it is quite amazing!
Anyway I'd be interested too, to hear peoples experiences as I am only a rookie at this :))
Love,light and Blessings
Helen.

thanks for the input. I think I have been rather childish in my expecations of the pendulum. You know the kind of thing.... will so and so love me or will I do such and such. All purely selfish. I have had definate yes or no's though and find that if I try to stop analysing or second guessing then the flow is smoother. I am not as brave as you or as well supported in my ventures, so practising anything like that at home is a bit sticky. However, I am going to look into it further and have since got a pendulum which I think 'talks' to me. Initially I grabbed the first one when I decided that I was going to do this stuff. Good luck with your endeavours! Keep us posted.

Hello again
I think pendulums are great tools and love them for working with chakra's. But for personnel questions I find that I control the pendulum by my hopes, beliefs and desires. I think unless we can really step aside (which clearly I can not lol) ....the results may not be accurate..I tested this theory by asking the same question and expecting the opostite result..which I got.
I also think that tarot cards and similar things all can only give you the most likely outcome based purely on that moment. Every time our views or wishes adapt we take a slightly different path and as our possibilities are infinite..nothing can reliably tell us what are future will be.
But the good news is...I think if we learn to focus and hold the same goal or dream for long enough anything is possible :)
Hugs

Tonight I am having a Reiki share at my home. There will be three of us and I think I will try out the pendulum on the chakras there. It is a good idea to stop pondering on oneself all the time, bad habits are hard to break and sooo easy to form!. A quick nudge in the right direction from a good friend often helps.
I guess that when doing chakra work with a pendulum, the idea is to hold it still over the chakra and wait for any movement? Is it the same as when asking questions, i,e; forwards and backwards means yes (?healthy) and side to side means no (?imbalance).
Can the pendululum then be used as a crystal to amplify energy to the area?
Thanks for the input,
love
Sally xx

Hi sally
The way I use the pendlum is to see if the chakra is flowing correctly. Chakras should spin in a clock wise direction to draw the energy in, if they spin in an anti clockwise direction Ki is being driven out that chakra. The faster the pendlum spins the faster the chakra is spinning and therefore the healthier it is. If you dont get anything over the chakra then it is blocked. No need to ask the pendlum, just hold over each of the chakras in turn :)You might me amazed at how instant the response of the pendlum is.
Reiki will rectify the problems and also find gently circling my hands over the chakra in the clockwise direction, while giving a treatment also has the desired effect.
Barbra Brenans book "Hands of light" has lots of useful information in and its a book you just cannot digest in one go, I find I return to it often and always learn more from it.
Hope that helps
Sky

Have just finished our Reiki share and had a first attempt at using the pendulum on the chakras. It was very interesting and does work just as you said. One question (I think!) : we did experience the clockwise and anti clockwise movements over the chakras, also some changes of movement as if the pendulum couldn't decide which way to turn. That was no problem and seemed self explanatory. Have you any idea what it means when the pendulum pulls a specific way? Let me explain: when over the solar plexus chakra the pendulum was definately wanting to go towards the left of the body at a diagonal (kind of out from the chakra and through the little toe)and when on the base chakra it wanted to do the reverse - pulling over at an angle to the right of the body. It was a definate energy pull. Any ideas? I'll put the hands of light on my book list too! Then I can look up the answers. Although I know it's not a quiz, xx
Thanks for all thoughts
Peace and harmony

Hi Sally, Sky,
Namaste,
Now that you are getting the pendulum down pretty good, it is time to add something else to the stew! How about dowsing rods? Not much more difficult to manage, and for clearing a room give a much more visable answer to your questions!
Sometimes my rods spin so fast they almost turn into propellers... :o}
Haven't been able to manage the willow branch yet tho..

Hi Sally and Sky,
Dowsing rods are just FUN! Several years ago a friend showed me a little bit about how they pick up on the energy in a room in a very visable area. The bathroom.....
We took the dowsing rods and I suppose the programing is when there is good energy, moving, it rotates. that is the way mine is programed, anyway. But with the door open, door to the shower open, toilet seat up, drain in the sink open. the energy moves down and away. The rods go still. or point towards each other and go still. After closing the door, the lid, the drains, and holding the rods again, the rods start circulating again. Usually pretty fast. It did show me that there is at least a reason to close the bathroom doors when you don't need it!
I have used my dowsing rods to check the energy in a room after someone has left... very surprising
I have used them when clearing houses. I didn't mean that the rods did the clearing, but by going room to room in a house that is being cleared, you can see, and so can the owners where the problem is. Once the house is cleared, the pendulums react altogether differently.
My dowsing rods are copper on a handle that allows them to move freely. You just have to program them the same way that you do your pendulum... and then ask them to "show me chi..." I have taken them to work a couple of times. In actuality, simply by thinking which way I want it to turn, and letting someone hold them, it can really wig them out! :oD (No I am not perfect, I do like my little bit of humor!)
I hope you get a set, it is interesting.. Love and light, Louise

Priestess,
Hi! Is it true dowsing rods can be made with a couple of biro casings and metal coat hangers? Or have i remembered this from a bizzare dream or something... ;D
Just wondered....
Take care.
Graham.

Hi Graham,
Well, given that I don't have a clue what a biro casing is, I am going to make a rash judgement and say a qualified 'yes'. (good fence walking, isn't it?) You can most certainly make them with wire hangers. In fact the plumber that was re-doing my water pipes outside this summer, thought he was showing me that he could do it with just the hangers. It only worked partially well for him.
He did not move over far enough to find the pipes with the dowsers.
Personally, I did not have much luck with the wire hangers, and then ended up with the copper rods....
They were on sale!!
Actually, I would have loved to be able to tell you that you had a bazzare dream..... and you may well have had them from time to time, but I don't think this was one of those times!
And Happy Holidays to you and yours. Priestess

Priestess,
Thanks for your reply :) By biro casing i meant the plastic outside of a ball-point pen - presumably so the rods will spin around freely as opposed to being clutched in someone's sweaty palms. Apologies for any confusion with the erm, language barrier! Thanks for helping me re-establish the line between reality and dreamworld! LOL.
I've heard of dowsing pendulums being used by surveyors for checking what underground pipes are for, but they're not 100% accurate and not regarded as an 'oracle' of information.
Happy hols to you too :)
Take care.
Graham.

Hi Graham,
AAAAAAhhhhhhhhh, I didn't know that it had a name of its own!
the answer is definately yes, then.
Actually, I tried it, also with finding the pipes. Being as how I have never dowsed for water before, I did not have much success, either. I do know, however, that when I am requesting an 'energy' reading, I get various signals from the rods. Also my own intuition tells me whether it is correct.
Anything I can do to help someone find a little reality in their dreamworld is my pleasure! lol
Give it a try. If you are snowed in, and there is nothing to watch on tv, might as well play with it, huh?
Actually, pendulums are not alwas 100% accurate either. But then again, "even I sometimes make a mistake!" :o}}
Blessings, Louise

Hello Sally,
I am not sure what you would qualify as interesting pendulum
experiences. I however use mine frequently. I use it when I am ready cards, meditating, and always before and immediately after a Reiki session on a client to check chakras and energy levels. I use it more now as a tool than as a toy.
Have you had any interesting finding?
Love and Light,
Healing Moon
