Like so many people, I have previously had difficulty keeping to new year resolutions - because I always have such grand visions that seem to become lost in my reality...
I overheard someone commenting on her resolutions - and I liked her idea...in fact I have made it my resolution for the year.
And What is it? Make one resolution each day to last for just that day.
What feelings of achievement, when you have succeeded for that day...and if the achievement feels that good, perhaps it is one that you will want to make for the next day (much like AA?).... little steps
Breaking it down makes it manageable and attainable.
One of my ongoing ones so far this year is to find a positive quote for the day, and I have been able to carry this forward each day...what joy...sometimes I even find more than one!
So I would like to share the quotes for my today:
Quote: Every day you get many chances to become angry. For instance, a driver cuts in front of your car on the way to work. Someone else criticizes you. Another person doesn't return your call. All these are anger invitations. You could accept every one, in which case you'll be angry all the time.
Instead, you need to be diligent. The key is to ignore the less important invitations. You have to separate what is merely annoying from what is really serious.

Quote: Love is a force that connects us to every strand of the universe, an unconditional state that characterizes human nature, a form of knowledge that is always there for us if only we can open ourselves to it.
