Aim,
Namaste,
First you must understand that all prayers are answered. But sometimes the answer is 'no' or 'not yet'. It has nothing to do with the spirituality of the healer.
That being said, I don't think one must be spiritual to be a healer. Or not necessarily spiritual to see 'guides'.
:o}
There are many people out there who are not reiki healers, but are what I (and some others) term 'natural' healers.
Those few that I have met personally, tend to pull the illness into their own body, and at another time disperse it. If they don't rid themselves of it, they very soon find themselves with various illnesses. In other words, they do not channel energy, they use their own.
The answer to your other question, about why he can pull up the energy of the angels and other people can't? Who said that others cannot? Perhaps you and others have not tried? As far as I know, anytime I ask for the energy of anyone on the other side, it hasn't been denied to me.
On the other hand, on occasion when requesting a particular type of healing for someone, I have been told 'no'. Usually because it isn't time, or because (once) the person was with me physically, and the spirits I wanted to release were particularly nasty, so they wanted physical distance between us. The next time I was told 'yes'.
If you are feeling particularly close to an angelic being that you have read about someplace, perhaps that being is reaching out to you. Just don't be getting any delusions of grandeur!! :o}
I often think that those people who are channeling the high spiritual beings, and/or calling in archangels that everyone knows, is dealing more on the level of personal ego. You have to also look at what else is going on in their lives before you follow their lead, or believe what you might read. Some are out there simply to hook you into what may be a dependant relationship to feed their depleted energies...
But that is another story...
:o}
Blessings,
Priestess
