I have found since starting to work with reiki, that a gap occurs between myself and certain others. Those that love us deeply, will always be there, and try to understand what we are doing...although that will probably be very trying for them.
;-)
As we progress, and reiki is a journey for most of us, others around us have to make a choice. 1. join us in the direction we are going and support the choices we are making. 2. Support our choices in our journey, but not do the same. 3. Not support our choices, and choose to go in a direction with their lives that separate us emotionally and physically.
This can be very disconserting. And it can hurt us deeply in the beginning.
But in the end it is all positive. It is as it needs to be. There are those that have been in my life the past few years that I still miss the companionship, but have decided that the behaviors they exibit are no longer appropriate in my life...so we are uncomfortable together. By not having to deal with those behaviors, I don't waste valuable time and energy (mine).
;-)
There is also time in my life for the good things. Really wonderful people that need and want healing, or help, or want to help me achieve those things in my life. I don't have the turmoil in relationships that at one point in my life seemed to be my life.
;-}
Sure there are ups and downs, still, but not the constant madness that totally absorbed my attention.
I have on a few occasions had to confront something unpleasant, but once done, is now done.
I think you will find that you are doing some spring cleaning in your relationships. Out with the old, that no longer works for you, in with the new.... It really is great.
Just think of all the opportunities that you now have before you!!
Blessings,
Priestess
