Namaste All:
I attended an all day workshop today on Alternative Healing.....and the main discussion besides herbs/TCM was QiGong..(the Chinese version of Reiki)....My question is the "Masters" who practice Qigong(meditation/movement/postures/breathing) healing on their patients...are the "attuned" like Reiki Masters...
Thanks in advanced,
Holly

HollyMarie,
/*\ Namaste. :-}}
I do not know for certain, but from what I have read and heard there is a practice between the Master and the Student that is similar to Reiju practiced by Usui Sensei.
In reiki practice there are also some different versions of the Reiju such as that practiced and taught by Doh Sensei and others.
Qi Gong, classically, is for personal work. However there is an "external Qi Gong" practice where, as I understand, the Pratitioner uses his\her Qi with others.
This apears t be a practice of using personal Qi which of course is not Reiki Practice - where proper practice involves accessing Universal energy.
Qi, however, is life force energy - it is also called Prana or Chi or Ki in other disciplines - but basically all universal life enrgy.
Hope this helps,
reiki all around,
All Blessings,
Firekeeper
