The Reiki Cafe 

Two nights ago I was walking down the hall and someone or something bumped into my left hip. Later that night my boyfriend asked if our ghost was back because during the night someone was walking around in the bedroom, he could hear it. The ghost that has been in the house (actually my bedroom closet) had seem to be dormant, I do have a thing from my reiki teacher that is to be read to send entities on their way to the light. I was just curious as how I could bump into it?

- well, one view is that depending on the "sophistication" of the entity it would be able to manage sufficient "astral" density to be physically detectable via contact with your densest astral body

I work with a woman who claims that "my" spirits tend to mess with her head, even when I am not around. Although how they got to be mine, I don't know.

;-)

She "feels" them (or their energy) tickle her in various areas of her body, she will hear keys rattle as if I am coming in when I'm not...as well as hear bells on occasion.

Personally I think she is becomming more sensitive than she used to be.

:-)

And since no one is really upset, I only do the regular clearings there.

Spirits do tend to come and go around me...I don't get really upset unless they bring some negative energy with them.

I have also felt these things, literally. Such as, a hand sweeping across my back. A hand gently pushing my head. I have also seen several in physical form. However, they were always giving a pleasant feeling. I never seen any that seemed frightening.

I think since we are tuned-in to higher vibrational frequencies and activities, it would be an uncommon thing for us not to experience these from time to time.

Just a thought:
I feel we are able to detect a parallel life going on at the same time our life is going on. And what if some of them, like us, are able to detect us from time to time. How many times do you think you and I may have unintentionally scared the begeebies out of them, unknowingly! Maybe these "ghosts" are currently seeking a way to make us go back to where we came from; thinking "we" are "ghosts". They may even feel that when we are detected, it is because we are asking for "their" help to return to the light, or the other side! So, with that note, I think I would ask for permission first. I would hate to return someone or help send somebody to a place they were not ready for. They could be living a very fruitful life with a family and all. We just don't know, but what if?

Thanks for all the insight. Last night I did try a clearing of the house. But I did add that if the entity wanted to stay it did have the option or if it wanted to "go to the light" it did have the option to return if it wanted to.

I know that since I moved into the house and spirit has been there, and actually it never scared me, but what I bumped into seemed different to me, and I am not sure why.

I remember Preistess or Blackearth mentioning to me one time that my aura actually attacted ghosts and spirits. I live across the street from a graveyard and a funeral home is a 1/2 mile up the road. My basement was full of ghosts and they were pretty interesting. The told me about my area where I lived and filled me in on the neighborhood,etc. I did send them to the light when they were ready to go and they would usually tell me.
Once I had the flu really bad and my family was out of town. I was so sick and 3 of the older ghosts actually took care of me. I did not drink or eat for 3 days and somehow made it through. They rubbed my forhead and back and told me stories. It was so amazing!
I have felt them sitting on the bed and my feet occasionally. It was "creepy"at first and then I knew they were there to help, so I got over it.
Every house I have ever lived in has had ghosts in them. I just have to get used to never being alone..It keeps me in line!

Seems likely that you felt a new entity.......That would account for the spirit feeling different. To bump into your resident spirit would have felt familiar......possibly only result in your saying "excuse me".....Could be this is a new spirit with negative vibes.

Probably so, my boyfriend keeps mentioning the "ghost" when he never knew the other one existed until I told him. He feels things are missing from his room. I don't know if the entity is still there - I did do a house clearning, so I am not sure if it left or not. Time will tell.

Howdy.... I think I am another one that attracts those freindly and not so friendly body-less people my way. Sometimes it's just that they want to pass on a message to a family member..... sometimes they REALLY don't belong... and sometimes they are just passing through. I think that in our own homes we tend not to stay as grounded and in your walking through the hallway you may have been "out of your body" so to speak, much easier to "bump" into someone that way I suppose. I think that the entities that we see or are aware of are there for a reason.... no mistakes. I don't believe in willy nilly ghost busting to "send them to their place" like some people do, but I do believe it is possible for some of them to be confused and need to be shown their options. Who said we were only meant to help and heal those IN a body?? oh well thats my 2 cents worth. I personally had a horrid time going monument hopping a few years back in D.C. The Vietnam wall was more than I could take.... it was like walking through time lines... and I really wasn't much into all this stuff back then..... but I had to be carried by my friend back to the car. interesting thing is though.... that as soon as we broke through the tree line I was fine..... I sure believe that you can BUMP into one or many ghosties.... good luck in your house!!!!!
