Hello All:
I have been busying myself trying to find a yoga class in my new home. I have found several but they are all "power yoga" classes or yoga with pilates. My interest in Yoga is mostly spiritual / meditative and I am unsure about the benefits of these classes. My Hatha teacher in Seattle was very traditional (trained in india and europe) and always told me to stay away from the newer forms of yoga and stick with the traditional.
Any comments?
Namaste,
Chris
p.s.... anyone know a good yoga video? looks like I might be doing this alone from now on.

Chris,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- one view is that mediitations can be included in any form of Yoga practice -
>:-}}
- Ashtanga Yoga, for example, falls roughly into the "power yoga" category but the Teacher I know always incudes mantras and other meditations usually before and after the essential practices -
- he does the same (includes meditations) in my Kundalini Classes
>:-}}
- I think Rodney Yee may have a Yoga Video (or more than one) - I took several weekend retreats with him a 10 or so years ago when he was still fairly much tradtional Hatha - but was beginning to become more "power" oriented
hope this helps,
reiki all around,
all blessings,
firekeeper
