As for the original matter at hand: A master is not a master when he/she calls him/herself one?

Hi Joe,

You ask, "When is a Master, not a Master?":

I answer this question not to anyone, but to myself; based on what little experience I have, in my young spiritual journey.

When a Master, whether he/she be self-proclaimed, or claimed by other's to be such; places him/herself, on a stool, in a void of nothingness, where there is no darkness nor light, and announces, "I AM A MASTER!!!" and no one thing exists to hear or feel the proclamation. No one thing to return the justification. That is, to me, when a Master, is not a Master. And the stool falls out from under him/her.

A Master is not a Master when he forgets that a Master Is always a student.......A Master knows there is always more to learn......and lives so.

Dear Joe Bear,

One would have to define Master to answer that question. It has many different connotations/meanings depending on point of reference, culture, etc.
Jerry Seinfeld had an odd take on it, if I remember correctly.
Master is after all, simply a title.
