Dear Firekeeper,

I am truly honored to have Coyote assist me.
From between sharp fangs, a gentle breath is released & heard....the true nature of all living things is not found in the exterior, eh?
I hope one day to have a speck of Coyote wisdom.

Namaste,
holobon

As Coyote once observed: my Wisdom, such as it is, has been collected, speck by speck, over many years - a bit like picking up little bits of lint here and there along the way-

- finally (after a number of Lifetimes) one has enough to make yarn and weave a sweater, or mittens, or booties, or a scarf, or a little tam or -

Dear Firekeper,
It took a while for this to peneterate, but as I drove back from my attunement, I understood that the circle was completed only to begin anew.

Once again, congratulations on standing for your Master Attunements - or were you sitting??

>:-}}

One view is that as each circle is completed we "step" into the next one - with all the completed ones powering our work on the circle we have just undertaken.

Circles turning within circles turning within circles turning within??

>:-}}

What "can" be really neat is to encounter a circle that is turning in a direction different from the one just completed.

A while back I did a little research into "sacred Geometry" - I suppose along the lines to which you refer - from a "new age" perspective.

- It seems that once one gets all the way back to the beginning thoughts (Egypt or something) - the geometry is related to "angels" (not angles) or some other "archetypes" with spiritual\religious significance.

Nature contains proportions, angles, sounds, etc - humans have discovered many of these relationships - we did not create them -

Does a tree make sound (waves) if it falls and there is no one there to hear it?

I say - of course!! animals hear it! the rain drops on the leaves may be jostled loose by it! just as a high C will shatter a crystal glass.

So, you were sitting for your attunements. :-}}

A Reiki Attunement? Not as I recall.

However, if one takes a formal Medicine Buddha empowerment as an attunement, then a partial yes - since some of this ritual was done standing.

It is a ritual where a Lama guides the indiviudual (or group of individuals) through a series of mantras and visualizations to create a connection to a series (or stack) of healing Buddhas that rest ever so lightly at and above the Crown.

>:-}}

Wasn't there a line from a sixties song: "he's not heavy, he's my Buddha"

>:-}}

Some 10 or more years ago as I recall, Soygal Rinpoche, I believe it was, came with a group of Tibetan Monks to create a healing sand mandala to dedicate the acquisition of an important Buddhist statue by our art museum.

The Lama also held a gathering where he fielded questions, did personal blessings for local buddhists and others who wished, and also did the medicine buddha empowermentfor all who wished to participate.

If you are interested I think I still have the materials he had available about the empowerment. If I can find them I could copy and fax them to you if you wish.

- As the ritual was largely in Tibetan (with the essential parts for us translated into English by a Monk) I cannot recap everything.

Medicine Buddha was largely for one's own healing work - but the conection certainly allows for much more.

Dear Firekeeper,

I checked out the website & found it most interesting...something I would certainly be up for in person...but doubt any Lama's will be arriving in my neck of the woods anytime soon......but who knows what might manifest these days...:)

As always, you are a well of information...
