ley lines

Hi All!

Can anyone explain to me what ley lines are? I have noticed them mentioned on several sites recently, but I can't seem to get a sense of exactly what they are from the context in which they were mentioned. The clearest idea I have is that they are some form of energy channel existing in the earth's crust, perhaps the energy field equivalent of the "symbolic" field meridians..?
Anyway, I'd appreciate any info anyone has. Thanks, batwings

Batwings,

Hiya. :) Sorry, i'm not sure myself, but i've a question; when you mention symbolic field meridians, are you referring to sacred geometry?

dear Graham:

Well, maybe.... I am not really sure what you mean by sacred geometry. I was trying to express a thought and probably did not succeed in being very clear with it. Sorry!

symbolic field level: In a certain sense, symbols have a reality of their own. A symbol is not the thing itself but it is a useful (to humankind) repressentation of the thing. It evokes the thing for us. The letters t-r-e-e make a symbol (word) which we have assigned the meaning of tree (tall, leafy standing person) so when an english speaking person says tree, another english speaking person will get the idea of tree. Neither the symbol nor the idea is actually a 3D tree but both the symbol and the idea serve to facilitate communication for the people.

In the human mental data banks "lines" have been drawn around the earth. Some are called merridians and represent the north/south lines around the planet (by which location is measured.) I was just referring to the fact that in my limited understanding perhaps the ley lines are the energy level equivalent of merridians. It may be a very poor analogy. Ley lines might be more like the energy equivalent of the plate boundaries or fault lines.

Anyway, I would love to know what they are! Also, now that you have mentioned it, I'd love to know more about sacred geometry! So if you do know about sacred geometry, please share! Blessings, batwings

Batwings,

Sorry for the extreme lateness of my reply. :/

I think i've opened up a huge can of worms here, and unfortunately, there's no way i know enough about sacred geometry to give you a description of it (in a nutshell). At the moment it's all way over my head! :) I think we're at the same level of limited understanding :)

Here's a link that might be able to explain a little;

Also, on the web, search for a man by the name of Drunvalo Melchizedek, and the word Merkaba. There's a few articles on Spiritweb as well.

Anyway, i was thinking that the term 'ley line' was maybe referring to the geometric lines connecting the points of the planetary grid, or as you called them meridians, which refers to sacred geometry. I think we were thinking along the same lines, - different words, same meaning...

You probably don't know what i'm talking about at this stage, but there's a book called Sedona:Beyond The Vortex by Richard Dannelley that will definitely shed light on this in good detail. You've got some good theories there, i'm in total agreement, thanks for explaining. :)

For everyone,

If you would like a 'little' reading. Read some of the Kryon books.. He talk about anchoring these lines extensively, with the energy of the light workers....

This could really give you a new perspective...
